We Need Christians To Pray This Prayer Now Throughout America.

Tuesday, November 6th, 2012

•CORPORATE PRAYER : November 6th we pray as one voice…Don’t miss this powerful 5 minutes of praying exactly the same words. God Save and Bless America!

Father God, Lord and Master of all the earth, today we’re gathered together as one voice, one nation, and one family. We acknowledge you as the one and only God, that because of Jesus we gratefully can also honor and call our Father. Together we declare and receive your promise that “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.” We need your blessing Father, so please place your hand upon the heart of this country and your people and cause our hearts to beat in rhythm with your purpose. We speak with a loud and clear voice so the heavens will hear our praise and glory to the name that is above every name!

This is the day you have made, and it is to you we direct our attention, as we listen to your voice of wisdom. Today people all over this country are going to utilize the great freedom of choice given to each citizen by going to their respective polls where men and women will be selected to lead this great land. We are here raising our voices, letting you know that though there are multiple opinions about every candidate, there is only ONE that matters. We choose to stand with you Father. We choose what you choose…that the lives of the unborn are precious in your sight, that marriage is sacred between a husband and wife, that the poor and elderly, widows and orphans are dear to your heart and should not be trampled upon, that there is one God and only one, and upon this truth, our country, America, was established.

We ask that you illuminate the candidates that are most aligned with you. Bring them to the office that will best suit your purpose and use their gifts. And for the one that is to lead this great nation, let the one who will hold the most important position in the world, have a heart for you and your holy wisdom, given liberally to all who ask. May they grow in their faith each day they are in office. Cause them to walk in righteousness as they lead our country honorably and with integrity here at home and with those allies to whom we have allegiance. For righteousness exalts a nation.

You have called us the head and not the tail…the first and not the last, the people of your pasture, the flock under your care, the chosen generation! So please restore to us our FIRST love, helping us not to succumb to the temptations of this world in any choices that we make, but rather to walk with our heads held high because we belong to you and are the called according to your purpose! As we vote this day, may we vote with wisdom, conscience and love, according to your life and Word that is within us.

Let your kingdom come and your will be done on earth…in this country, in this election, and in us …as it is in heaven! For its all about your kingdom and your glory forever and ever. Now…Let heaven make a record of this prayer, prayed on this day at this hour by this people, offered in the mighty and perfect name of our Savior and King, Jesus. Amen

Stereotyping At The Polls And In The Entertainment Arena

Monday, November 5th, 2012

“The bottom line is simple: If a black person does a good impression of a thief, drug addict, prostitute, maid or athlete, you’ve got yourself a touchdown. The worst thing you can do, however, is play a role that communicates intelligence, integrity or courage….that’s “not realistic.” - Dr. Boyce Watkins

All African Americans don’t vote for abortion and homosexuality and African American actors deserve more Oscars for noble roles rather than for demeaning parts that get too much Oscar buzz these days. Please be patient with me, I’m going to make a connection in a moment. To be perfectly honest, I was very weary of all the political hype surrounding America’s presidential election, which is tomorrow by the way. So I decided to take three of my adult children for sushi and a movie. I truly wish now I had just gone back into my prayer closet and kept praying for forgiveness and mercy because of the troubled times we are experiencing. But I wanted a breather, so off to the restaurant and movies we trekked. I forgot for a moment how much Training Day featuring Denzel Washington traumatized me a few years ago, making me promise myself to be very careful when considering seeing another Washington film. I had seen the trailers, and the movie seemed harmless enough. Well, harmless it was not. Please read Dr. Boyce’s full review here. http://www.kulturekritic.com/2012/11/men/dr-boyce-denzel-was-brilliant-but-an-oscar-for-his-latest-film-would-be-racist/

After the movie, which had so much gratutious profanity and nudity that I kept exclaiming aloud how ridicuously unnecessary it all was. DENZEL WASHINGTON IS A BRILLIANT ACTOR, no doubt about that. And the movie had some notable teaching moments all in all. Yet the raw portrayal of the main character and the admittedly talented caricature of the evangelical co-pilot and his wife neutralized some of the good that should have been the high point of the film.

What does this have to do with political stereotyping? Well, many people believe that there are few, if any, African Americans who will not vote for President Obama in the coming election. Of course, the numbers from 2008 clearly bear this thought pattern out. But what about the African Americans who won’t vote for President Obama? If anyone was listening or really cared about the African Americans who is appalled by the abortion/homosexual marriage agenda, they could discover that all African Americans do not favor killing innocent babies or breaking down the natural family with lifestyles like abortion, homosexuality, fornication and adultery.

THIS IS NOT A POLITICAL ENDORSEMENT BLOG. THIS IS NOT TELLING ANYONE WHO TO VOTE FOR. THIS IS ALVEDA BEING SICK AND TIRED OF PERSONALITY CONTESTS AND STEREOTYPING WHILE AMERICA IS IN CRISIS!

In a few hours, the elections will be over. Things most likely won’t go back to “business as usual” though. At least we had better pray they don’t. It’s time to repent people, get it right. Admit that we don’t know everything and let God take the reins. WAKE UP!

A Prayer For Our Nation As We Prepare To Elect Our Leaders (También En Español)

Monday, November 5th, 2012

O God, we acknowledge you today as Lord,
Not only of individuals, but of nations and governments.

We thank you for the privilege
Of being able to organize ourselves politically
And of knowing that political loyalty
Does not have to mean disloyalty to you.

We thank you for your law,
Which our Founding Fathers acknowledged
And recognized as higher than any human law.

We thank you for the opportunity that this election
year puts before us,
To exercise our solemn duty not only to vote,
But to influence countless others to vote,
And to vote correctly.

Lord, we pray that your people may be awakened.
Let them realize that while politics is not their salvation,
Their response to you requires that they be politically active.

Awaken your people to know that they are
not called to be a sect fleeing the world
But rather a community of faith renewing the world.

Awaken them that the same hands lifted up to you in prayer
Are the hands that pull the lever in the voting booth;
That the same eyes that read your Word
Are the eyes that read the names on the ballot,
And that they do not cease to be Christians
When they enter the voting booth.

Awaken your people to a commitment to justice
To the sanctity of marriage and the family,
To the dignity of each individual human life,
And to the truth that human rights begin when human lives begin,
And not one moment later.

Lord, we rejoice today
That we are citizens of your kingdom.

May that make us all the more committed
To being faithful citizens on earth.

We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

(En Español)

O, Dios

Son las que halan la palanca en las urnas electorales al votar;

God Is Calling You To Be A Prophet For Life This Election!

Friday, November 2nd, 2012

Yes, YOU!

God placed you here at this moment for a reason. And I believe He did so because He wants YOU to tell all those you know that they have a grave moral obligation, not merely to vote …

… but to VOTE PRO-LIFE.

After all, if a politician can’t respect the life of a little baby, how can we expect him to respect ours?

IT COULD HAVE BEEN ME: Black Leaders Urge: Stop the Killing, Vote Biblical Values for Life on November 6

Thursday, November 1st, 2012

Atlanta, GA — Citing the deaths of hundreds of women, Dr. Alveda King, Dr. Day Gardner and Rev. Catherine Davis of the National Black Prolife Coalition Women’s IT COULD HAVE BEEN ME PROJECT are urging everyone to vote biblical values on November 6.

“Life is precious and beautiful. The brutal deaths of women who die by abortion warrant a vote for life and family. Stop the killing; vote for life,” said Dr. King who heads up www.africanamericanoutreach.com.

“Walter B. Hoye II, founder of Issues4Life Foundation, sanctions this urgent appeal:“Abortion, the most unregulated surgical procedure in the nation, has left a trail of dead women and over 55 million babies in its wake. Last July Tonya Reaves died from an abortion done in a Planned Parenthood abortion clinic in Chicago. Ms. Reaves isn’t a poster child. She was a soon to be married, beautiful Black woman, mother and twin sister who is yet another victim of the abortion industry’s criminal negligence and depraved indifference toward women and children. My wife and I are praying this tragedy awakens the collective conscience of Black America to this wretched, unregulated and tax-payer funded industry that is profiting from the deaths of our women and children.” Rev. Hoye is a leader in the call for a criminal investigation into the death of Ms. Reaves and other women harmed by abortion.”

In television and radio commercials, the group notes that fathers, mothers, womb babies and society at large are at risk.

“DBA is alarming. Millions of babies have died, thousands of women have been maimed and hundreds of women have died from legal abortions in America since the passage of Roe VS Wade. It could have been me or someone you love,” said Dr. Gardner, founder of the National Black Prolife Union.

NBPC’s national efforts to defund Planned Parenthood, America’s largest abortion provider, is advancing their ongoing “awareness campaign” to inform, educate and activate people to get involved to end the “scourge of abortion.” A biblical prolife vote is part of their message.

“The best way to help people is not to fund abortion and contraceptives, but rather support biblical values. People need jobs and education, not abortions,” added Dr. King.

“We’re not advocating a personality contest for voters next week. This issue is too important to play politics. The truth isn’t always politically correct. We want voters to go to the polls and not stay home. We want people to remember God and life when they go to vote” added Dr. Gardner. More information on the campaign can be found at www.couldhavebeenme.com.
