Evangelist Alveda King: Moynihan Prophecy Self-Fulfilled, The Race Issue is Smack in our Faces

Wednesday, August 31st, 2016

Friends, you may have recently seen me on TV discussing race relations. https://grabien.com/file.php?id=101171 and http://video.foxbusiness.com/v/5103503038001/dr-aveda-king-colin-kaepernick-protest-is-very-disturbing

You surely have heard my reminders that color blindness is a medical and spiritual condition requiring restoration of sight; and that being of separate races is a lie. We are one blood/one human race! [Acts 17:26] Also, you may have heard me say that “White Privilege” hurts not just Blacks, but every ethnicity and all of America. There are many working class Caucasians and all ethnic groups who are victims of the same unfair lending, housing and other disparities that are holding Blacks hostage in urban cities. It’s no longer just about skin color.

Here below is more information on the subject. The race issue is smack in the middle of the abortion crisis, the presidential elections and so much more. Let’s pray for truth and understanding to break every chain!

Research on One Blood and America’s flawed system:

An excellent tool for understanding America’s flawed system is to get acquainted with these thinkers through their videos.

  1. Debby Irving: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oD5Ox5XNEpg. The entire video is EXCELLENT, try to watch the whole thing,  The exact information you and I were discussing starts at the 6:30 mark.
  2. Historian Jacqueline Battalora: Traces the creation of white privilege in some of the earliest recorded laws in America. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=riVAuC0dnP4
  3. Dorothy Roberts: Brilliant legal scholar, discusses the modern perpetuation of the myth of biological race through social propaganda dressed up as science. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ydj9yOR_0qE
  4. The Negro Family: The Case For National Action (known as the Moynihan Report, 1965) was written by Daniel Patrick Moynihan, an American sociologist serving as Assistant Secretary of Labor under President Lyndon B. Johnson of the United States. His report focused on the deep roots of block poverty in the United States. http://www.blackpast.org/primary/moynihan-report-1965
  5. Some bullet points:
  • • 19th Century GI Bill selective lending practices were designed to advance some and limit others.
  • • In the patriarchal system of America and most of the world, the forced Black Matriarchal system crippled the Black Men of America.
  • • America’s Welfare System should have been a Workfare System, allowing participants to invest in their futures with empowerment rather than handouts. Forcing the fathers out of their families amplified the problems.
  • • Creation of privatization of US prisons and flooding them with Blacks hurt not only the African American Community, but the nation as a whole.
  • • Flooding the nations with cheap labor from outside, and forcing industry overseas with excessive tax penalties hurt the working classes of America, disproportionately Black families.

While All Not Endorsing, We Should All Be Praying and Voting

In 2007, during the Presidential elections of the United States, I endorsed my last candidate, Governor Sam Brownback. When he left the campaign, I was about to endorse another candidate, Governor Mike Huckabee. Just as I was about to press the “send” button on the release, I was impressed to read my Bible. During those moments, it was as if God was speaking to my heart. “Stop endorsing, and start praying.”

Having been elected to office in the Georgia House of Representatives during the 1970’s and 1980’s, I understood the importance of political endorsements. I still do. So, for many years, especially since the time that God impressed me to pray for all candidates, and vote for the platforms that are closest to my heart and His Word, I have been voting prolife and pro-America. Messages like the sanctity of life, reconciliation of the one blood, the one human race; the sanctity of procreative monogamous; social economic justice; equal education rights; constitutional rights, and so much more continues to resonate in my heart as I prepare to vote.

This year, during this important election, with a clear conscience, I am honoring my commitment to God to spend more time in prayer, rather than endorsing any candidates. Some are texting and posting that this is lack of courage. Believe me, it takes quite a bit of courage to stand up to the pressure of not endorsing, even to the point of being called a coward. However, I still love everyone, and I still love America.

I encourage you to view the video of Pastor Will Bates of Living Faith Christian Church in Baton Rouge, and my video at Fox Business News.

Pastor Bates and I have something in common; he took his daughter to her first protest, my daddy Rev. A. D. King took me to mine; The Children’s March in Birmingham, Alabama. I have been peacefully protesting every since.

I pledge allegiance to the Kingdom of God, with a burning desire to be that city/nation on a hill, shining light to the world. I sing our National Anthem with gratitude, believing for that day when we can truly be one nation under God. May God bless us all!

Evangelist Alveda King – “Amidst unveiling of new website on the weekend of the “I Have a Dream” 53rd Anniversary, Black Community mourns another Planned Parenthood Abortion Death”

Atlanta, GA – Timed to coincide with the 53rd anniversary of Rev. Martin Luther King’s “I Have a Dream” speech, Priests for Life’s African-American Outreach is launching a new website, logo, mascot and name – Civil Rights for the Unborn (CRU) – for the ministry led by MLK’s niece.

“We interrupt our announcement of unveiling our new “Civil Rights for the Unborn” website to report more death from another Planned Parenthood abortion, says Evangelist Alveda King.

“Mounting grief over yet more abortion deaths – this time of Michigan mother Cree Erwin and baby – overshadows our news. Black leaders and prolife leaders at large are outraged and grieved that yet another young beautiful Black woman and her baby have recently succumbed to painful deaths following an abortion at a Planned Parenthood facility,” explains King.

In the aftermath of Ms. Erwin’s abortion death, one of many in America, Pastor Clennard Childress, cofounder of L.E.A.R.N. says: “Black Life Matters has [recently] teamed up with the most destructive racist machine in American history; its founder, Margaret Sanger was the most devout racist of her time! The leading killer of innocent unarmed African Americans in the womb – whose hands were up, but given no choice or chance at the American Dream their fellow African American, Dr. Martin Luther King preached about – is Planned Parenthood!

“It breaks my heart that when a young man is gunned down by a [police officer], the media runs with it like wildfire. Yet, if an abortionist kills a young black woman and baby, the silence is tragic,” adds Dr. Johnny Hunter, cofounder of L.E.A.R.N.

“My uncle didn’t live to experience the horrors of legal abortion, which includes death to babies and harm to women. Today he would have fought just as hard to secure the rights of unborn Americans as he fought for racial justice for Blacks.

“Americans and all people are not racially divided biologically or spiritually, but are rather ‘one blood/one race.’ [Acts 17:26] At CRU we seek to end abortion genocide and educate and unite the human family around the sanctity of life.

“We can reflect our support for life by praying, participating in the prolife movement, and voting prolife,” King urged.

Father Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, concludes: “No other civil rights issue of our day is more important than securing the right to life for the human beings still in their mothers’ wombs.”

Sweet Victory for Mothers, Babies and Civil Rights Pro-Life Warriors Everywhere as Killing Center in Wisconsin Closes Its Doors

Thursday, August 25th, 2016

160825 BLM graphic

Planned Parenthood says “Black Lives Matter.” At Civil Rights for the Unborn, we know that God loves everyone, and Acts 17:26 teaches us that there is only one race, the human race.

Deuteronomy 30:19 teaches us to choose life so that we and our families can live.

If America, and indeed the whole world are to live and prosper, we must stop killing our children.

Our hats go off and our hearts go out to the valiant civil rights prolife warriors who have fought so long to close abortion killing centers. As the natural and spiritual storms rage in Wisconsin, America and around the world, here are two encouraging reports.

and
http://www.churchmilitant.com/news/article/wisconsin-close-planned-parenthood-abortion-mill

“It breaks my heart that when a young man is gunned down by a cop the media runs with it like wildfire. Yet, if an abortionist kills a young black women, the silence itself is tragic. Since the average black does not know, there is no outcry.” Dr. Johnny Hunter

Pray with us, for America, the world; for respect for the sanctity of life in the womb, in every circumstance of life, and until natural death. Pray for brotherly and sisterly love, nonviolence and God’s grace.

Prayers Answered with Closing of Famed Wisconsin Abortion Clinic

Tuesday, August 23rd, 2016

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Longtime pro-life activists Rev. Norm Stone, Jerry Horn, Joe Scheidler and Father Frank Pavone today reacted to news of the permanent closing of Planned Parenthood’s abortion business in Appleton, Wisconsin.

The abortion facility, located in the town of Grand Chute, has been a hotbed of pro-life street activism for over three decades, and at one time was reputed to be the largest and busiest freestanding abortion clinic in Wisconsin, serving the tri-state area of Wisconsin, Michigan and western Minnesota. Its closing marks a significant victory for local and national prolife groups.

“This is what I have prayed about night and day,” said Horn, a senior advisor to Priests for Life.

Horn explained that his pro-life activism began in the early 1980s when he was on a retreat with his wife, Bonnie, their pastor, Rev. Norm Stone, and his wife, Judy. Following training in pro-life activism by movement veterans Joe and Ann Scheidler, founders of the Pro-Life Action League, Pastor Stone’s church purchased the house next to the Appleton abortion business – then named the Fox Valley Reproductive Healthcare Center – and Horn and his wife moved in with their children.

“Planned Parenthood is blaming the closing on its inability to adequately ‘protect’ its staff and clients from pro-lifers, but that’s just a cover story, and not a very convincing one,” Horn said. “This business is closing because the darkness of abortion has been exposed. That’s what Pastor Stone and his wife and my wife and I started doing 33 years ago, and which the faithful and constant local and state leaders and individuals have been doing since then. They are the real heroes today.”

Pastor Stone, reached in Montana as he completed his 2,700th mile in an 8,000-mile walk for life called Circling the Nation, said the abortion business closing represented “a real victory for the pro-lifers who stayed on the battle lines all these years.”

Scheidler, who was having lunch with his wife, Ann, their daughter Sarah Worthington and Horn in Chicago yesterday as they learned of the closing, said: “We’re just delighted that the Appleton clinic is finally closed. The fact that I was with Ann and Jerry when we heard the news gave us all reason to celebrate.

“Abortion businesses are closing all over the country because of the dedication of pro-lifers willing to brave ridicule and worse by standing outside in prayer and protest,” said Father Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life. “The abortion industry is in a state of collapse. We will see to it that more and more of these centers close.”

A press conference that will bring together national pro-life leaders is being planned for the near future. Horn said the conference would focus on the work of Wisconsin activists who have worked for decades to close the Appleton abortion facility, as well as the trend of these free-standing abortion businesses closing nationwide.

To arrange interviews with any of the original Appleton activists, call Leslie Palma, communications director for Priests for Life, at 347-286-7277 or email her at leslie@priestsforlife.org

Priests for Life leading prayer efforts in advance of Election Day

Wednesday, August 10th, 2016

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Date: August 10, 2016

Contact: Leslie Palma
347-286-7277

NEW YORK — With less than 100 days to go before the presidential election, Priests for Life is leading and participating in numerous prayer efforts to beg God’s help in steering the United States off its pro-death trajectory.

Priests for Life founded the Vote Pro-Life Coalition, a wide-ranging group of national ministries working together to advance non-partisan activities to help pro-life voters engage the electoral process in an informed and responsible way.
Father Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, also has written “An Election Prayer for Life” (www.ElectionPrayer.com) and is asking people to pray it daily between now and Nov. 8, Election Day.

“To believers, prayer campaigns aren’t seen as passive activities that likely won’t bear fruit,” Father Pavone said. “Prayer is the foundation of everything we do in the pro-life movement, and we will not be successful in turning our nation around without it.”

Priests for Life also supports the first-ever Novena for Our Nation, a 54-day prayer event that will begin Aug. 15 and culminate with a Rosary Rally in Washington, D.C., on October 7. Priests for Life Pastoral Associate Father Stephen Imbarrato – the “Protest Priest” — is on the organizing committee for this initiative and will speak at the closing day Rosary Rally in front of the U.S. Capitol.

“We just witnessed a political convention where a woman was cheered for saying she had an abortion, and the most abortion-friendly political platform in our history was adopted,” Father Imbarrato said. “Clearly we are a nation in need of healing.”

Priests for Life is also asking believers to join the organization in praying an Assumption Novena that began Aug. 7 and concludes Aug. 15, the Feast of the Assumption.

“The world needs the Assumption,” Father Pavone said. “Mary’s share in Christ’s victory, body and soul, over death, is a sign of the ultimate victory of life in which we are all called to share.”

Priests for Life side-by-side comparison of Democratic and GOP platforms highlights stark differences

Tuesday, August 9th, 2016

priests_for_life_logo_transparent

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Date: August 9, 2016

Contact: Leslie Palma
347-286-7277

NEW YORK — Priests for Life today released a side-by-side comparison of the Republican and Democratic party platforms that shows stark differences when it comes to the rights of the unborn, religious liberty, marriage and the family and respect for the U.S. Constitution. The guide is legally qualified to be distributed in Churches.

“We talk about voting with a clear conscience, which means you can’t vote against your values,” said Father Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life. “But to vote with a clear conscience, one must consider that elections not only put individual candidates into power; they put political parties into power.

“The same questions you ask about the candidates’ positions on issues have to be asked of the party’s positions. The party platform expresses its philosophy, and its policy preferences. If that party comes into power, what people will they assign to committees, and what bills will they allow to come for a vote? What type of people will be in the administration and on the staff of the elected official; what kind of appointments will that individual make?

“Even if an individual candidate is weak on a particular issue, the party platform signals the direction in which he or she will be guided and influenced by staff and advisors, and by constituents. And in the case of a President, the party platform gives a clear signal of the type of philosophy that will prevail, under that President, at the Department of Health and Human Services, at the Department of Justice, in the Surgeon General’s office, in the federal courts, in the Supreme Court, and in thousands of other positions in many federal agencies.

“The US Catholic bishops have written, ‘We urge our fellow citizens to choose their political leaders based on principle, not on party affiliation or mere self-interest’ (Living the Gospel of Life, n.34). Many vote for candidates because of loyalty to a party, without examining the party platform. Our moral duty requires us to look deeper, and our comparison of the Democratic and Republican platforms will help voters do exactly that.”

Vote for America’s Good not “Lesser of Two Evils” Challenges Evangelist Alveda King

Tuesday, August 9th, 2016

160809 blog image

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
August 9, 2016

Contact: Leslie Palma
347-286-7277 or media@priestsforloife.org

This Presidential election, many are saying they will vote for the “lesser of two evils”. Won’t it be better to vote for “what’s good for America?” Voting on the issues trumps evil hearts and personalities.

A colleague writes:

“We hear the phrase: ‘lesser of two evils’ a lot…This year, we have witnessed much voting hand-wringing with many people of faith claiming that it is evil to ever vote for “the lesser of two evils”, or for any evil at all. I have concluded that this lesser of two evils phrase is really a canard; a false picture of the electoral choice. Yes, we should never ever vote for evil; only for good. Hence, in a binary election, we should only vote for the good. As for both candidates’ appearing to be evil, remember that all of us are a mix of good and evil.” (Jeremiah 17:9 NLT)

So, let’s overlook personal personality preferences; vote for the candidate with the greater potential to deliver on the issues most closely aligned with our faith and what is good for America.

This choice may be uncomfortable. But remember, we’re trusting God’s wisdom instead of a human candidate. (Proverbs 3:5-8)

For me, it’s sanctity of human life, procreation, racial justice, economic growth and stability, a positive work ethic, good health, safe borders, domestic harmony, good jobs, sustainable values based education, family stability, and a God guided U. S. Supreme Court; all biblical. Even the building of the wall; it’s not a first! Ezra and Nehemiah did that.

Walls aren’t evil; it’s the intent that’s important. If the walls protect the citizens and yet have gates of legal entry to those in need, or desirous of becoming U. S. citizens, such walls aren’t evil.

Note that in Nehemiah’s day, the people had a mind to work. Handouts and entitlements weren’t on the agenda. (Nehemiah 4:6 ASV)

Let’s pray and act now, and return to God; if not for ourselves, then for future generations.

Finally, let’s agree with Daniel in prayer:

“Oh Lord our God, “lean down and listen to [us]. Open your eyes and see our despair. See how [much of America] lies in ruins. We make this plea, not because we deserve help, but because of your mercy. O Lord, hear. O Lord, forgive. O Lord, listen and act! For your own sake, do not delay, O my God, for your people and your city bear your name.””

Amen.
