Boycott a Distraction as Alveda’s “Rome for The Holidays” Tour with a special visit to Joan Lewis’ Home and more continues…

Amid protests and boycotts over his attendance during the opening of two civil rights museums in Jackson, Mississippi last week, our US President Donald John Trump said: “Martin Luther King, Jr. was a man I have studied, watched, and admired for my entire life.”

As God would have it, I read the account of POTUS’ visit to the new museums from Rome, Italy where yours truly has been invited to attend the Catholic-Inspired NGO’s Conference during this Christmas season.

In the midst of the stress, strife and distractions the world can cook up, especially during the holidays, the blessing of combing prayers, work and Christmas cheer is appropriate and indescribable. Meanwhile, President Trump’s words continue to be uplifting.

I’m considering this trip to Rome to be a Priests for Life working tour laced with holiday cheer. While here, I am remembering the words of Pope Francis in the section about the power of love to remain resilient, even in the face of trial, in his pastoral letter on the family, “Amoris Laetitia” where the Pope writes: “Here I think of the words of Martin Luther King who met every kind of trial and tribulation with fraternal love.” The Pope also quotes at length my Uncle’s 1957 sermon given at Montgomery’s Dexter Avenue Baptist Church, in which Uncle M. L. said: “The person who hates you most has some good in him; even the nation that hates you most has some good in it; even the race [Acts 17:26 One Blood/One Human Race] that hates you most has some good in it.”

Then Pope Francis expounded further on MLK’s words: “And when you come to the point that you look in the face of every [person] and see deep down within [that human being] what religion calls ‘the image of God’, you begin to love [people] in spite of [everything],” Dr. King continued.

Needless to say, MLK’s Message is relevant to the purpose and mission of my Christmas tour; which is spreading the message of The Agape Love of Christ and the sanctity of life around the world.

Photos and social media accounts of this journey are forthcoming on Priests for Life on the Frontlines.

Notwithstanding jet lag, the journey continues to be amazing. Along with visits to the Vatican, and meeting leaders of the Christian world, there’s also time for sightseeing such as St. Peter’s Square, The Trevi Fountain and quaint sidewalk cafes.

An exceptional delight has been the fellowship with the people of the Italian community; such hospitality at every turn, regardless of ethnicity, religion and socio-economic conditions.

A special interview and visit to the home of EWTN’s Joan Lewis has caused me to pause and make note of what I’m calling “GG’s (Gorgeous Grandma’s) Visit with Joan at her Home for the Holidays.” I can only wish that you’d been able to join us for the warm and delicious coffee, cake, and historical perusing among Joan’s collection of beautiful memories expressed in so many ways that lovely morning.

Since my blogs are usually filled with lectures, lessons, encouragement and prayers for concerns for the world, it’s a refreshing change of pace to share some joyful highlights.

However, there’s still some of the lecture mode going on during this journey as well. For instance, back home in America once again members of The Congressional Black Caucus and a few members of the “old guard 20th Century Civil Rights Movement” missed yet another opportunity to speak up for the civil rights of the unborn last Friday; choosing instead to boycott the opening of the two new civil rights museums in Mississippi, where POTUS attended to bless the historical site.

(Author’s Note: In a 1958 interview, MLK expressed his view that neither party was perfect, saying, “I don’t think the Republican Party is a party full of the almighty God nor is the Democratic Party. They both have weaknesses … And I’m not inextricably bound to either party.” MLK was never registered as Democrat or Republican. He was an Independent.)

Enough said about that for now; except that it’s all part of the “work” angle of my Rome mission; to bring awareness of the sanctity of life issues to light.

Meanwhile, God’s infinite love and mercy are allowing my heart to pray for you my beloved readers during this season; and to bring reconciliation to our broken communities.

As you join in by reading about my journaled Rome trek, and my soon to be released KING TRUTHS, if you are hurting in any way, maybe from loss of a loved one or some other painful situation, may God’s grace and goodness touch you during your deepest moments and bring light, love and healing to you!

There’s more to come from Rome before we head for Home. MERRY CHRISTMAS. Stay tuned. Chao!

The Dangerous Intent of Unproven Accusations

Friday, December 8th, 2017

While recovering from jet lag in the midst of my first visit to Rome, Italy, I was stunned by a report that Congressman Trent Franks has been asked to step down from office. I immediately began to pray with an awareness that “the accuser of the brethren” is at work to silence the voices of conscience on The Hill.

“Then I heard a loud voice shouting across the heavens, “It has come at last— salvation and power and the Kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ. For the accuser of our brothers and sisters has been thrown down to earth— the one who accuses them before our God day and night.” Revelation 12:10

Unproven accusations are designed to bring strife, suspicion, division, hurt and harm to humanity. Such accusations not only hurt people’s reputations; they rend the fabric of the One Blood/One Human Race Community. (Acts 17:26)

This reminds me of the tragedy of Emmett Till who was unjustly slaughtered due to an accusation that was proven to be false after Emmett was brutally murdered.

Today in America this same tactic is being played and replayed where public figures are constantly being accused of crime and/or impropriety and “tried” in the media.

For those who are professing guilt, as they are appropriately stripped of or voluntarily abandon their seats of power, where is their path to redemption?

“Everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins.” – Romans 3:23-24

For those who stand accused and castrated without a trial we must ask where do they go to get their reputations, or in extreme cases such as Emmett Till, their lives back?

“Is it legal to convict a man before he is given a hearing?” John 7:51

Maybe we should all pray about calling a “Cease Fire Come to Jesus Moment” and repent corporately. Have we considered what it takes to build a reputation, and how sad it is to note how a person can be hurt by the false charges of irresponsible or ruthless people?

Such accusations can poison the atmosphere among society. Unsuspecting people can come to believe the worst about their neighbors or community leaders simply by hearing and believing false accusations. Once the vicious cycle begins, people can be motivated by the desire to accuse others.

Even as a post abortive secondary victim of abortion, I work very hard to remain in a position of repentance and forgiveness for those whom I hurt and for those who hurt me on my journey through life. A testimony should never seek only to expose a painful wrong, but to seek healing and reveal and discover how God can make things right for all parties involved.

Enemies of Agape Love and Truth seek to have us accuse each other and cause strife and division. God’s law is the law of love, where people are led to repent, forgive, and be healed; these are truths for life which are designed for us to follow.

Abortion to 22.5 Weeks, But Only for Healthy Mothers

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Date: December 7, 2017

TITUSVILLE, FL — Another undercover call was released today by Priests for Life, working in conjunction with Abortion Free New Mexico, revealing late -term abortions of healthy babies carried by healthy mothers in the state of Florida.

Fr. Frank Pavone of Priests for Life and Tara Shaver of Abortion Free New Mexico issued the following statement about the call:

“Pro-abortion extremists demand that late-term abortions must remain legal in America for women whose lives are placed at risk if they don’t have access to them. This undercover investigation turns the tables on this pro-abortion fear mongering.

“In fact, in this new undercover phone call placed to Presidential Women’s Center in West Palm Beach, FL, the abortion worker tells the caller that a pre-screening is done before obtaining a late-term abortion at 22 weeks. The screening, however, is not to determine what life-threatening complication mandates the procedure; instead the abortion staffer reveals, ‘We want to make sure you’re healthy, that’s why we do the screening.’

“When the caller then specifically asks, ‘There doesn’t have to be anything wrong with the baby?’ to obtain the abortion, she is given an emphatic ‘No.’

“It’s time to move beyond the lies and disinformation being peddled by pro-abortion extremists. U.S. elected officials rely on accurate information and this investigation exposes that late-term abortions are being obtained by healthy women carrying healthy babies who by 20 weeks gestation are fully capable of feeling pain.

“Please share these undercover recordings with your U.S. Senators and urge them to support the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, S. 1922.”

To take action on this bill, see the action alert at www.StopAbortionNow.org.

Holiday Surprises – POTUS Promises, Peace for Jerusalem, An American Princess, Tax Cuts, and Moore…

“When peripherals collide, convergence is imminent.” Evangelist Alveda King www.civilrightsfortheunborn.com

It’s December 2017, and Christmas bells are ringing again in America as President Trump’s promise keeping roll is continuing. The POTUS “we will say Merry Christmas again” mantra is resonating. Meanwhile, President Trump’s support for Israel, undergirded by our “prayers for the peace of Jerusalem,” is encouraging evidence that God is blessing us. POTUS is expected to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capitol today.

“Pray for peace in Jerusalem. May all who love this city prosper.” Psalms 122:6 NLT

Of course, as is to be expected, “fake news” isn’t on holiday. This time media imps are trying to stir up a “feud” between newly engaged American actress Meghan Markle and her sister. Prince Harry has placed a “sparkle” on the “modern day Cinderella’s finger.” Up until now, Ms. Markle’s sister Samantha Grant has been sharing fond and sweet memories of Ms. Markle’s childhood. Now, those sweet dreams are becoming bitter, fanned by the ire seeking fake media. Ms. Markle’s ethnicity, evidence of the rising “One Blood/One Human Race sentiments sweeping the globe, adds spice to the conversation.

“No matter our skin color, we all bleed the same red blood…” President Donald John Trump

Let’s not miss out on the shameless fake news efforts to defame the much-needed tax cuts that are being ironed out in our Capitol. Families and businesses need a financial blessing this year!

As if all of this holiday intrigue wasn’t enough, the media sharks are still snapping at the heels of Senate candidate Roy Moore in Alabama. We can only imagine the magnitude of their frustration as the Judge keeps running ahead of the pack.

John 7:51 – “Does our law condemn a man without first hearing him to find out what he has been doing?

Finally, let’s consider that attempts at Agape Love can sometimes do more harm than good especially when cross-cultural situations without sufficient efforts to bring understanding of the local culture can cause resistance to change. At the end of the day, our goal should always be to Love, forgive and reconcile to our human brothers and sisters.

Enough for now. I’m off to Rome for work and maybe a little holiday cheer; with this song in my heart. MERRY CHRISTMAS!
