To Be Or Not To Be – A Fourteenth Amendment Perspective

Ever since the ruling of Roe v. Wade on January 22, 1973 the debate continues. In the prolife community we remain very appreciative that President Trump is keeping his promise to defend human life in all stages. Thank you Mr. POTUS.

For anti-abortion pro-lifers, it all boils down to some very important question: Is abortion the taking of a human life? Is abortion health care or death care? Is abortion good for women or do abortions kill human mothers and their human babies?

For pro-aborts the issue is whether a woman has the right to abort the life of a preborn human being.

Recently Harvard Law student Joshua Craddock Harvard Law Journal Concludes Unborn Babies Have Constitutional Rights, addresses these issues.

In 1973 the Supreme Court used the theological examination of “when does life begin” suggesting that babies are not protected as persons under the Fourteenth Amendment. Yet, any 8th grade biology book can answer the question definitively. At the moment of conception 23 genes from the mother and 23 genes from the father unite to form a unique, very real human person.

Even pro-aborts have been acknowledging that abortions take the lives of human beings. Their contention remains that the slaughter is legally acceptable.

Justice Harry Blackmun wrote in his majority decision, “We need not resolve the difficult question of when life begins. When those trained in the respective disciplines of medicine, philosophy, and theology are unable to arrive at any consensus, the judiciary, at this point in the development of man’s knowledge, is not in a position to speculate as to the answer.”

Here’s a question for the lawyers, doctors, preachers and laypeople: “The woman has a right to choose what she does with her body; but that baby is not her body. Where is the lawyer for the baby?”

Today science proves that a preborn baby is a human being from the moment of conception. The real question must now be answered: “Should preborn human beings have protection under the Fourteenth Amendment?” Craddock concludes: “They do fall under the Fourteenth Amendment’s protection.”

Acts 17:26: “And God has made from one blood every nation of [humans] to dwell on all the face of the earth…” America, we must agree with God and stop killing our babies. As a repentant post abortive mother, I find encouragement in telling the truth and shaming the devil about the harmful impact of abortion. After all, how can the dream survive abortion?

It’s a blessing to have a President in the White House who is swinging the pendulum back in the direction of dignity for all human life; from the womb to the tomb. Maybe now we can finally stem the abortion scourge, and correct a wrong that cost nearly sixty million babies their lives in America and countless around the globe. America, pray. Return to God.

Pavone, King: POTUS “gift” to Pope a sign of the times

Father Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, America’s largest religious anti-abortion ministry and Evangelist Alveda King who heads up Civil Rights for the Unborn for the organization have a message for America regarding President Donald Trump’s gift of books by Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. to Pope Francis on the POTUS tour to the world’s most renowned seats of religious power.

“How appropriate that two world leaders who seek peace should pause again in the shadow of another leader who showed everyone how to make it happen,” said Father Pavone. “Dr. King said that injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. Both the President and the Pope have warned the world about the ongoing injustice of abortion, which, as President Trump pointed out in the third presidential debate, rips babies out of the womb. Both the President and the Pope know that peace demands an end to that violence,” said Father Pavone.

Evangelist King, prolife niece of MLK who gifted President Trump with a “King Family Tribute” book during her visit with POTUS at the National Museum of African American History and Culture earlier this year said: “It’s interesting how things come full circle. I gifted President Trump with a King book; he gifted the same to the Pope. The Pope has often noted the teachings of MLK in his work. When I first met Fr. Pavone in NY at a prolife rally in the 1990s he was quoting MLK’s Christmas sermon.”

“… When we truly believe in the sacredness of human personality, we won’t exploit people, we won’t trample over people with the iron feet of oppression, we won’t kill anybody.” Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. 1967 Christmas Sermon

Citing what she calls “fake news examples,” King points out that President Trump’s Mexico City Policy redirection of funds away from abortion providers outside of America and back to life affirming programs in America is not robbing the poor as some media suggests. “President Trump is redirecting our funds while draining the swamp. By cutting abortion funds, and redirecting public assistance away from entitlement to empowerment, POTUS is helping everyone; not robbing the poor as some media reports. Now our families can begin to breathe again and work again and live in dignity. I’m just glad that in the midst of all of the ‘fake news’ President Trump has delivered something real again with this MLK book gift; the six principles and steps to nonviolent conflict resolution espoused by my Uncle Rev. MLK are always good for America and the world. ”

Fr. Pavone added: “It is no accident that the President’s first trip is to the key religious centers in the world. He is convinced that peace in the world depends upon religious leaders and their people freely and vigorously practicing their faith. Both he and the Pope have warned against the abuse of religion, which happens when people invoke God’s name as a cover for violence.”

Both Pavone and King are prayerful and supportive of President Trump’s agenda to address the problem of abortion in America and are in favor of a “sanctity of life” agenda; “from the womb to the tomb,” they agree. In agreement with her colleague Janet Morana, author of RECALL ABORTION, Evangelist King, a post abortive voice for life is a “women’s advocate supporting good health, safety and equality for all females, including the little girls in the womb. Abortion is not health care. Abortion kills babies, hurts and sometimes kills their mothers. How can the dream survive abortion?”

As American voices for life, Pavone and King advance the sanctity of life message from a Bible perspective. “When POTUS says we are all Americans, and our blood runs red, that’s true. Acts 17:26 says that God created all humanity as “one blood.” Uncle MLK said “we must learn to live together as brothers [and sisters] or perish as fools.” It’s time for us to lead the way. AMERICA RETURN TO GOD.

POTUS IS REDIRECTING [NOT CUTTING] FUNDS TO SAVE LIVES!

Tuesday, May 16th, 2017

170516 blog image

Finally our tax dollars are being redirected from death care to health care. President Trump’s “Protecting Life in Global Health Assistance” policy is simply amazing. Friends, he’s not robbing the poor, he’s saving lives. Remember, abortion is not health care. Abortions kill babies and sometimes mothers. Abortion is a violent and deceptive act. I know. I survived two abortions and a miscarriage. My babies didn’t. #HowCanTheDreamSurviveAbortion

With his New Mexico City Policy, our new POTUS Administration is now multiplying the life saving impact well beyond the Department of State.

What’s new? Well along with the $600 million in taxpayer funding saved under the authority of the New Mexico City pro-life rule, $8.8 billion from the Departments of State, Health and Human Services, and Defense are being redirected for life. That’s almost 15 times more money flowing through the abortion ban than previous policies; yes cutting deaths by abortion while saving lives.

In a nutshell, here’s what POTUS is doing: “I direct the Secretary of State, in coordination with the Secretary of Health and Human Services, to the extent allowable by law, to implement a plan to extend the requirements of the reinstated Memorandum to global health assistance furnished by all departments or agencies…” President Trump directed.

“I further direct the Secretary of State to take all necessary actions, to the extent permitted by law, to ensure that U.S. taxpayer dollars do not fund organizations or programs that support or participate in the management of a program of coercive abortion or involuntary sterilization.”

As one White House official told The Brody File, “The pro-life policy will apply to global health assistance funding for international health programs, such as those for HIV/AIDS, maternal and child health, malaria, global health security, and family planning and reproductive health.”

Many people already know and understand that the inclusion of the DOD is probably the single greatest change, since the order affects all global health assistance funding — not just “family planning” dollars. Super life saving, money redirecting impact. More funds are now available for improving our quality of life. America Return to God!

Now, along with thousands and maybe millions of unborn lives; not to mention healing women and mothers, this policy will help heal America. Keep praying friends. President Donald Trump is listening to 83 percent of Americans who asked him to end taxpayer funding of overseas abortion groups. I’m in that number. Are you? Pray about it!

“If you succumb to the temptation of using violence in the struggle, unborn generations will be the recipients of a long and desolate night of bitterness, and your chief legacy to the future will be an endless reign of meaningless chaos.” – Martin Luther King, Jr.

Evangelist Alveda King: Pro-abortion Race Baiters, Bible Baiters and Sexists Must Cease and Desist

Rev. Three-Headed Monster

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Atlanta, GA — In an effort to address current “hot topics” during Black History Month, Evangelist Alveda King, Director of Civil Rights for the Unborn released the following opinion:

“The matter of Senator Elizabeth Warren invoking the persona of a civil rights icon to make a point is just the most recently noticed form of tricky political ploys. It’s bad enough that Senator Warren’s voice was silenced while her male counterparts were allowed to speak; apparently by a collaborative approach across the isles.

“That sexist moment in and of itself is questionable, invoking shades of duplicity over the ongoing battle to define women’s rights. Then there’s the nasty sting of both Bible baiting and race baiting.

“Race baiting according to Merriam-Webster, is “the unfair use of statements about race to try to influence the actions or attitudes of a particular group of people.” Race bating, using the vantage point of skin color or ethnicity as an emotional trigger to stir up the public and distract people from reasonably understanding and responding to pertinent issues at hand is a deceptive and counterproductive political practice.

“Another equally dangerous distraction that is used to distract the American people is “Bible baiting.” Similar to race baiting, Bible bating takes scriptural context and twists it around to fit a particular political message. Both are deadly traps, enemies to civil rights and human rights.

“In the meantime, it’s important to resist shutting down honest conversations about racism, sexism and religion while confronting the problem of using such conversations for manipulation of questionable agendas. At the end of the day, we want to use nonviolent conflict resolution strategies to combat the triple evils, not feed them.

“For at least the last four decades or so, race baiting, Bible baiting and sexism have been used to distract the American people from the plague that has had the greatest negative impact on human life – abortion. Below are race related quotes from several politicians. Those quoted below espouse either pro-abortion or prolife platforms. Each has intentionally or unintentionally played “the race card” in using their chosen emotionally charged words to make a point in the conversations below.

“Some of these quotes are from Democrats, some are from Republicans. Most of these cited have apologized for their words once they were published. The quotes are cited simply as examples from just a handful among thousands of political remarks that have resulted in racial tension and disharmony.

“They’re going to put y’all back in chains.” – Former Vice President Joe Biden (D) to a largely African American audience during a campaign stop in 2012

“…so it’s been obvious that they’re doing everything they can to make him fail. And I hope, I hope and I say this seriously I hope that’s based on substance and not the fact that he is an African-American.” – Former Senator Harry Reid (D) in 2013 on Congressional Republicans’ opposition to President Obama’s agenda

“Loretta Lynch is asked to sit at the back of the bus when it comes to the Senate calendar.” – Senator Dick Durbin (D) speaking in 2015 on the delay of Loretta Lynch’s confirmation to be Attorney General

“There isn’t enough racism in America to Justify the Voting Rights Act.” – Chief Justice John Roberts speaking from SCOTUS chair in 2013

“I used to own – my father had a ranch. We used to hire 50 to 60 wetbacks to pick tomatoes.” – U.S. Representative Don Young (R) in a 2013 radio interview

“In Delaware, the largest growth in population is Indian-Americans moving from India. You cannot go to a 7-11 or a Dunkin Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent. I’m not joking.” – Former Vice President Joe Biden (D) in 2007

“[Obama has a] light skinned appearance and speaking patters with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one.” – Senator Harry Reid (D) 2010 comments

“Each of these quotes, in their own way, caused political firestorms. Enough is enough! Today we are calling on a “cease fire” of using race, sexism and religion as emotional fodder to adversely stir the hearts and distract the minds of the people of America from the issues at hand.

“Across the congressional isles, race baiting, Bible baiting and sexism have clouded one of the major civil rights issues of our times – the right to be born. People become so distracted by the racial, gender and religious posturing that they forget just how many Americans are dying from abortion, sickness, poverty, violence and other forms of genocide and eugenics in our nation.

“For years liberals and progressives have skillfully appealed to the Black communities, vying for the African American vote while maintaining that abortion is good for blacks and, conversely, that those who are pro-life are somehow anti-African American. They have alleged that the Hyde Amendment, for instance, is inherently racist and that those who support it must be the same. It’s one of those race baiting charges that makes no sense.

“For example: When Congress held a hearing last year on the Hyde Amendment and the Born-Alive Infants Protection Act, Democratic Congressman Steve Cohen couldn’t resist playing the race card. He started by saying, “Controlling women’s reproductive processes has been something that men have done for years, or tried to do,” then moved on to add, ”And women since the days of slavery were very much encouraged to have children, because that was good, because you needed lots of more property to bring the crops to make the money.”

“So, as the Congressman not so subtly inferred, if you don’t want your tax dollars to pay for the dismemberment of low-income mothers’ unborn children – or any unborn children for that matter – you must be like 19th century slave owners. In short, you must be a racist. Really? Twisted attempt to pervert justice.

“Think about it. Why would Congressman Cohen’s imagined “racist” want more people of color to be born? Wouldn’t a racist want there to be fewer African Americans and Latinos?

“Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood, certainly would want fewer poor people around. Sanger, who happily spoke to a women’s branch of the Ku Klux Klan and received invitations to speak to a dozen more, said, “Birth control… means the release and cultivation of the better racial elements in our society, and the gradual suppression, elimination and eventual extirpation of defective stocks – those human weeds which threaten the blooming of the finest flowers of American civilization.” Clearly a big government fan, she proposed, “No woman shall have the legal right to bear a child, and no man shall have the right to become a father, without a permit….”

“Mrs. Sanger was a progressive in her era and she would be a progressive today, supporting the race baiters and calling for an end to the Hyde Amendment. She wanted fewer of those she called “unfit.” She wanted what she called “a cleaner race.”

“However, God’s Word teaches us that there is no “cleaner” or more “fit” race, only one human race. “He made from one blood every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth…. (Acts 17:26)”

“It’s time that we stop allowing ourselves to be divided. Those who use ethnicity, skin color, political preference, religion, income, gender, physical ability or lack of such, or any other classification to divide our communities for their own political gain ultimately do not care for us. They care for themselves and their power.

“The next time a self-proclaimed progressive from any political party uses sexism, Bible baiting or race baiting to say that abortion benefits the African American community ask how the termination of 17 million black babies since 1973 helps anyone. You might be called a devil and a racist for asking, but those 17 million saints in heaven will call you friend.

“Finally, this precautionary warning regarding Bible baiting, race baiting and sexism should by no means preclude healthy discussions that would bring an end to these triple evils. Let’s not shut the conversation down. Instead let’s dig deeper.

“In doing so, Let us each pray; then continue to purpose within our own heart to examine our motives and act for the highest good.”

“Examine your motives, test your heart, come to this meal in holy awe.” – 1 Corinthians 11:28 MSG

#CovertheMarch

Thursday, January 26th, 2017

AbortionHurtsWomen

As we get used to expecting the unexpected, President Trump shines the spotlight on tomorrow’s March for Life in DC. At the top of his first 100 days, the “man of the hour” points out that the crowd may be bigger than reported because the media doesn’t give much air time to the annual event.

Every year for the last 43 years pro-life activists have convened on Washington to march for life in protest for all the babies being aborted in America and around the world. This yearly March for Life gathering occurs each January on or about the anniversary of the Roe vs. Wade Supreme Court decision, January 22, 1973. Ironically, I was born on January 22, 1951. So this “for such a time as this” Kairos Moment is personal for me in many ways, including my post abortive testimony.

During previous years, the March coverage has been sparse to say the least. Historically the coverage has been unfavorable, casting the participants in a less than significant light. Added to the slights is the tendency to underestimate the crowd size, the tens of thousands often gathering in inclement weather.

However, there is a dramatic shift of events this year. In a recent interview with ABC’s David Muir President Donald Trump was asked about last week’s Women’s March (which received a lot of media coverage). It’s important to note that participation of prolife women were shunned at that event.

It’s actually refreshing to have a president in office who supports the sanctity of life and is willing to speak the truth and call the media out for not doing the same.

From our vantage point, the pro-life movement is not asking the media to choose our side over another. We just want fair and balanced coverage, coverage of the truth.

I’m in DC for prayer services tonight and in the morning. Please join us, and you can also March actually, and virtually on live stream on EWTN! Finally, if you can’t be there, please pray for all who will be marching for LIFE!
