Why did so many vote for President Obama in 2008?

Tuesday, August 28th, 2012

As an African American, as a woman, as a Christian, and as human being, I’ve been asking myself, “Why did no many people vote for President Obama in 2008 – why????”

Why did over 50% of Catholics…

Why did over 90% of African Americans…

Why did so many Christians…

Why did so many women…

Vote for the most abortion supporting, homosexual marriage supporting, trash the economy supporting President in American History??????

Why did President Obama win the women’s vote in 2008?

President Obama appeals to women’s need for independence and control over their bodies and their reproductive freedom. This desire for women’s rights is not a bad desire. But women still believe that abortion and contraceptives are health care. They are not! Abortion kills babies and even women.

And the population that is harmed the most by abortion is the Black women. Case in point is Tonya Reaves who died on July 20, 2012 after having a botched abortion at a Planned Parenthood killing center in Chicago, Illinois.

Why a woman would vote for a candidate who promises health benefits and delivers death is beyond me – except for the fact that we know that people are being deceived. The lie is that abortion and contraceptives are health care. The truth is that health care prevents sickness and cures disease. A baby is not a sickness, a pregnancy is not a disease. But the so called cure of abortion and contraceptives kill babies and harm women.

People do not have all of the facts. There are harmful side effects from using contraceptives and getting abortions; increased risks of breast cancer, cervical cancer, strokes, heart attacks, suicide, drug and alcohol abuse, and any more.

Women are making important decisions regarding their bodies without having all the necessary information. Abortion and contraception (surgery and drugs) hurt women. They are NOT healthcare.

All too often all across the country, women are being transported to hospitals after botched abortions. You might ask, “why haven’t I heard about this?” The mainstream media doesn’t want to report this information. If you don’t read pro-life blogs regularly, I’m not surprised that you haven’t heard these vital facts.

And forget about the abortion industry telling you the truth. They haven’t done that ever. Just recently I heard of a young lady who was told by an abortion facility that she wasn’t pregnant with a baby but that all it was was “a sac filled with fluid and tissue.”

Women think that President Obama is a friend to women. He is not. He is not pro-life. Abortion is not healthcare. Abortion kills women and abortion kills babies, real human persons in their earliest stages of their development but human persons just the same.

People are misinformed. Let the truth be told.

Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life and President of the National Pro-life Religious Council, announced today that the national pro-life prayer service to be held on the morning of Friday, January 25, in Washington, D.C. will be dedicated to the memory of Miss Nellie Gray, who led the March for Life every year since 1974.

The service, known as the National Memorial for the Pre-Born and Their Mothers and Fathers, is interdenominational, and has taken place for nearly two decades. The planning for the January service has been in the works for a couple of years already, due to the significance of this January being the 40th anniversary of Roe vs. Wade.

“Now, we have an even deeper meaning to the service,” said Fr. Pavone. “We will thank the Lord for Nellie, we will commend her to the Author of Life, and we will beg God that He will bestow on us all a double-portion of her spirit. Attending this service will be a wonderful way to honor her memory and renew our determination to fulfill her vision.”

The service will take place from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Jan. 25 in the DAR Constitution Hall, 1776 D Street Northwest, Washington, D.C. It is open to the public. That same afternoon, the March for Life, which Nellie Gray led, will take place. Black Pro-life Coalition Calls for Planned Parenthood Accountability in Chicago Death

Wednesday, August 1st, 2012

UNION CITY, Calif., Aug. 1, 2012 /Christian Newswire/ — Abortion, the most unregulated surgical procedure in the nation, has left a trail of dead women and over 54 million babies in its wake where, disproportionately, thirty five percent of those dead babies are Black.

Planned Parenthood has long maintained abortion is a safe option for women. They keep pictures of coat hangers before the public, assuring America that keeping abortion legal will protect women from harm. Yet, in 1972, Planned Parenthood funneled money to psychologist Harvey Karman who worked with (recently indicted Philadelphia “House of Horrors” abortionist) Kermit Gosnell to implement a “super-coil” abortion method on 15 black pregnant women. These low-income women, all in their second trimester, were bussed from Chicago to Philadelphia for this “safe” procedure. Nine of these women were seriously harmed during the violent experiment, including one who had to have a hysterectomy.

Today, just like then, women’s lives and health are never the concern of Planned Parenthood and other abortionists. Ryan Bomberger, Chief Creative Officer of The Radiance Foundation believes: “Pro-abortion activists like to call abortion ‘reproductive justice,’ but we can only call this reproductive death. In the inverted and violent world of pro-abortion activism, ‘justice’ inflicts harm upon the weaker and the defenseless — the unborn.”

Stephen Broden, Senior Pastor of Fair Park Bible Fellowship believes: “The recent death of Tonya Reaves in Chicago is only one example of the tragic havoc Planned Parenthood has wreaked across America. They are a threat to our women, children and ultimately our survival. Their influence and presence must be removed from our community.”

Pro-abortion journalists claim conservatives are making this political. Catherine Davis, Founder and President of the Restoration Project, finds the accusation repugnant: “The tragedy in Chicago should never have happened. That facility was not medically equipped to handle a surgical late term abortion. This is about the failure of an organization that holds itself out as a champion of women, and women’s issues to champion reasonable medical standards.”

“At a minimum, Planned Parenthood was criminally negligent when they left Tonya bleeding in their facility for more than five hours. Planned Parenthood’s lack of action demonstrates a depraved indifference for the life of this young woman. Planned Parenthood must be held accountable for the death of Tonya Reaves,” said Walter Hoye of the Issues4Life Foundation, the California Civil Rights Foundation and the Frederick Douglass Foundation of California.

Rev. Arnold Culbreath, Director of Urban Outreach for Protecting Black Life agrees. “Surely the African-American community will wake up and stop giving Planned Parenthood a pass. Too many of our women and children have been butchered at their hands,” he said.

“We pray this tragedy awakens the collective conscience of Black America to a wretched and unregulated industry that is profiting from the deaths of children and the deliberate mis-education of young women,” said Dean Nelson, Chairman of the Frederick Douglass Foundation.

“We still believe that injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere,” said Alveda King, Founder of King for America. “We demand the unjust targeting of the black community by abortionists be investigated and immediately ended.”

Black Pro-Life Leaders Call for Planned Parenthood to be Held Accountable

Friday, July 27th, 2012

National Black Prolife Coalition

UNION CITY, Calif., July 26, 2012 /Christian Newswire/ — The National Black Prolife Coalition expresses heartfelt sympathy to the family of Tonya Reaves — the most recent victim of a botched abortion performed at a Chicago Planned Parenthood facility. Tonya’s death is particularly tragic because this is not Planned Parenthood’s and other abortionists’ first incident killing both mother and child. Abortion, the most unregulated surgical procedure in the nation, has left a trail of dead women and over 54 million babies in its wake.

Planned Parenthood has long maintained abortion is a safe, just option for women. They claim that keeping it legal will ensure no more women are harmed. However, Ryan Bomberger, Chief Creative Officer of The Radiance Foundation disagrees: “Pro-abortion activists like to call abortion “reproductive justice,’ but we can only call this reproductive death. We mourn for the loss of these two lives and the devastation of many more, regardless of race.”

Stephen Broden, senior pastor of Fair Park Bible Fellowship believes “Tonya Reaves death is a tragedy that must be made known across America. This is another example of how Planned Parenthood is a threat to our women, children and ultimately our survival. Their influence and presence must be removed from our community,” he said.

Pro-abortion activists claim that pro-life advocates are using Ms. Reaves tragic death as a means to promote a political agenda. However Catherine Davis, Founder and President of the Restoration Project, finds that idea repugnant: “Tonya Reaves death is not about a political agenda. This is about the healthcare disparities Planned Parenthood and other abortion providers have long inflicted upon Black women all across America. This is about the failure of an organization that holds itself out as a champion of women, to champion reasonable medical care standards for women of color.”

“Abortion is the leading cause of death among Blacks and once again Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion provider, is involved in the death of our women and children. No one has the right to take the life of an innocent human being. It’s time Planned Parenthood be held accountable for the loss of life in its abortion dens,” said Walter B. Hoye II, Founder & President, Issues4Life Foundation.

Rev. Arnold Culbreath, Director of Urban Outreach for Protecting Black Life agrees. “Surely the African-American community will wake up and stop giving Planned Parenthood a pass after seeing Tonya Reaves killed and her unborn baby butchered at their hands,” he said.

“We pray this tragedy awakens the collective conscience of Black America to a wretched, unregulated industry that has profited from the deaths of children and deliberate miseducation of young women” said Dean Nelson, Chairman, Frederick Douglass Foundation.

“We still believe that injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere,” said Alveda King, Founder of King for America. “Tonya’s death is unjust and our prayers go out to Tonya’s family and her now orphaned son, Alvin.”

I am Outraged. I am Incensed. Remember Tonya Reaves

Friday, July 27th, 2012

These two blogs came from my good friend Catherine Davis. You can check out other blogs from her at http://talkaboutitcd.blogspot.com/

I Am Outraged. I Am Incensed. Remember Tonya Reaves.

As I am writing this post and it has been a while since I have posted something, I am outraged, absolutely incensed! I am also so very tired of the duplicity and subterfuge of the abortion industry in general and Planned Parenthood in particular. Planned Parenthood has long used infant and maternal mortality rates of the black community to justify the construction of their abortion dens in urban areas where blacks reside. They have told their foot soldiers to cite historical disparities whenever the black prolife community refers to the numbers of abortions on black women. Call for an end to the disparities they are told, so that they are controlling the conversation. There is one disparity however, they want to make sure quickly dies in the media. There is one disparity they are furiously working to bury. On Friday, July 20, 2012, there was death and mayhem across America. A mad man took the lives of at least 12, and injured 58. But there was more mayhem in America on that same day. A young 24 year old mother, daughter, sister who thought she was having one of the “safest medical procedures provided in the United States and Canada today” died. Her name was Tonya Reaves. Tonya went to the Planned Parenthood on 18 S. Michigan Ave in Chicago and did not return home. Instead she was transported to a hospital where she “died of a hemorrhage and her pregnancy was a contributing factor”. Nowhere was it mentioned that Planned Parenthood’s failure to exercise reasonable medical care was the cause of her death. All across America there is a wake of women who like Tonya, have been reproductively maimed or killed by Planned Parenthood or one of the other many abortionists that hold themselves out as providing safe choices for women. As anti-life forces were urged to do in a Congressional Black Caucus, Pro-Choice Caucus briefing at the United States Capital on May 10, 2012, Mary Mitchell, of the Chicago Sun Times, one of the pro-abortion “friendly” media members, turned the conversation away from the death of Tonya Reaves at the hands of a Planned Parenthood abortionist. Instead of focusing on the lack of reasonable medical care in the abortion industry she began to shift the focus toward the billboards and other education tools the black pro-life community has used to educate about abortion’s genocidal impact in the black community. She shamelessly, while accusing the pro-life community of attempting to make Ms. Reaves our poster child for life, began the fast track of painting Planned Parenthood and abortion as the injured victims. Shame on her and shame on them! Before the Reaves family can even mourn their loss and lay their family member to rest, Planned Parenthood has begun their spin, washing their hands of their negligence and participation in Tonya’s death. This issue is not about choice. It is not about a woman making a “heart wrenching” decision about an extremely private procedure” as Mary wants us to believe. For years now the pro-abortion community has marched, chanted, and screamed when there has been any attempt to regulate abortion, the most unregulated surgical procedure in the nation. Any attempts to ensure abortionists are giving women the reasonable measure of care we have come to expect for any other surgical procedure are met with resistance and demonstrations. Yet, the 2011 Guttmacher Institute report Facts on Induced Abortion in the United States, stated that “fewer than 0.3% of abortion patients experience a complication that requires hospitalization”. That minimal percentage actually translates into at least 3,000 women requiring hospitalization in each of the years that abortion reached 1.2 million or higher which has been the case since 1977. So in 35 years that would mean more than 100,000 women have been injured. Even if we only counted those injured since the issuance of the 1999 report Guttmacher is citing, we are looking at more than 42,000 women. I wonder who considers that a reasonable number because I certainly don’t. I think the average woman does not know that: “the risk of death associated with abortion increases with the length of pregnancy, from one death for every one million abortions at or before eight weeks to one per 29,000 at 16–20 weeks—and one per 11,000 at 21 or more weeks” and I doubt the abortionist informs the woman of this potentially life impacting fact before he does the procedure. According to Guttmacher about nineteen percent of the approximately 1.2 million abortions each year are performed on women who are sixteen or more weeks pregnant. Each year then we can expect seven to eight deaths of the mother. Again, I do not think this is reasonable, especially for the families whose loved one has died. Let’s keep it real, Planned Parenthood is spitting in our face and calling it rain and they really believe we don’t know the difference. No this is not about choice. This is about the healthcare disparities Planned Parenthood has long inflicted upon black women all across America. This is about the failure of an organization that holds itself out as a champion of women, to champion reasonable health care for women of color. Wake up America. We have genocide within the shores of the nation that was long thought of as the shining light on the hill. We have dressed the genocide up in the clothing of women’s rights while the population control enthusiasts kill our babies, our daughters, our mothers. I am outraged, more than incensed . . .

I am Outraged. I am Incenced Times Two

I received this comment on my most recent blog, I Am Outraged. I Am Incensed, about the death of Tonya Reaves from someone named Kathi: “While this is a very sad death, the number of women who experience complications or die during an abortion procedure are a lot less than the number of women who have complications or die during pregnancy! Amnesty International reports that at least 2 women die EVERY DAY in the US due to pregnancy.“ I have waited to comment so that I would not be flippant with Kathi. I have waited to write because I did not want to do this out of anger. I have spent this time trying to convince myself that Kathi really believes that her comment is somehow relevant to this discussion and she is not just another rabidly pro-abortion advocate that supports the abortion at all costs ideology. And then I received this news from CBS in Chicago: “Reaves had the abortion – formally called a “D and E” or dilation and evacuation procedure – at Planned Parenthood at 18 S. Michigan Ave. at 11 a.m., according to documents. After the procedure, she was suffering bleeding, and a Fire Department ambulance took her to Northwestern Memorial Hospital at 4:30 p.m.” I am just stunned and crushed. For five and one half hours Tonya lay in the Planned Parenthood on 18 S. Michigan in Chicago with her life’s blood pouring out of her. And Planned Parenthood clearly – did -nothing – to save her life. They did not even check her to determine why she was bleeding so profusely. They couldn’t have – because once at the hospital Tonya underwent a second D and E procedure. This means the abortion done by Planned Parenthood was incomplete. Not only had they left parts of Tonya’s baby in her but later the emergency room physician, through a second ultra sound discovered her uterus had been perforated as well, but now it was too late to save her life. Kathi, I cannot imagine the horror Tonya faced as she realized how great the injury she had suffered was. I cannot imagine her thoughts as she slipped away, unable to be resuscitated because Planned Parenthood cared so little for her life that they held her in their abortion den until the lifesaving aid that was being rendered by a leading Trauma unit in Chicago was not enough to bring her back from the brink of death toward which Planned Parenthood pushed her. I cannot imagine that you or anyone else can compare this butchery with the trauma that is sometimes experienced in the natural process of childbirth. I am outraged. I am incensed times two. Substandard medical care is the order of the day with Planned Parenthood and other abortion providers– especially when dealing with black women. In their population control and eugenic enthusiasm they routinely injure and sometimes kill women. In their arrogance they believe they can simply change the conversation and none of us will notice the trail of reproductive destruction that is sister to the always death generating practice of abortion. May God have mercy on us if we allow this to continue.

National Funeral Service Friday Morning

Thursday, July 26th, 2012

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Date: July 26, 2012

Contact: Leslie Palma
347-286-7277

STATEN ISLAND, NY — Father Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, issued the following statement about a funeral service planned for tomorrow for an aborted baby.

“On Friday morning, July 27, I will stand proudly with my brothers and sisters of Operation Save America to honor the body of an aborted child for whom we will offer a memorial service in which the public will have an opportunity to participate. We have also arranged for the burial of the child.

“It is not often that we have the bodies of aborted babies. Unfortunately, the act by which their lives are dishonored and their bodies dismembered takes those bodies and discards them with the medical waste.

“But once in a while, we are able to retrieve these bodies. When we do so, we give them the honor that others have denied them. The act of violence that killed them is done in secret; we believe that the act of reparation that honors them should be done in public. The cold-hearted killing was done in darkness; the broken-hearted mourning should be done in the bright light of day.

“We will have an open casket at this memorial service so that people can see the bruised body of this baby. The body is intact, having been killed by prostaglandin abortion, which induces violent contractions that bruise and ultimately kill the child. Seeing the child awakens the conscience to the fact that abortion kills real people, and must be put to an end without further delay.”

This service will occur Friday, July 27, in Charlotte, NC at the intersection of Trade and Tryon at 10 a.m. ET.

Priests for Life is the nation’s largest Catholic pro-life organization dedicated to ending abortion and euthanasia. For more information, visit Priests for Life.

“Another Wrongful Death In The Name Of Women’s Rights,” says Dr. King

Tuesday, July 24th, 2012

This past Friday Tonya Reaves, 24, died from a hemorrhage after an abortion at a Planned Parenthood abortion clinic in Chicago. While we are deeply saddened by her senseless death, we are also deeply saddened to report that Ms. Reaves joins the ranks of perhaps of hundreds if not thousands of women harmed by legal abortion.

Many people may think that this is a rare occurrence but nothing can be further from the truth. Botched abortions happen all the time and yes some even result in death. Unfortunately, the abortion industry is so under regulated that many of the complications from abortions go unreported or are reported without adding the cause of abortion in the component.

Ms. Reaves unfortunate death is a perfect example of what I’m talking about. The CBS Chicago article states, “Tonya Reaves, 24, died late Friday night from a hemorrhage, with a cervical dilation and evacuation, as well as an intrauterine pregnancy as contributing causes, according to the medical examiner’s office. People, she didn’t die because she was pregnant, she died because she was butchered. Thus terminology may be offensive to some, but her death is more offensive.

“She died after she’d had an abortion at Planned Parenthood at 18 S. Michigan Ave,” according to the medical examiner’s office.”

“Her death was ruled an accident.” Accident, as in they messed up and killed her?

And what did Planned Parenthood have to say about her death?

In a written statement, Planned Parenthood of Illinois CEO Carole Brite said “We were shocked and saddened upon learning of a tragic development at a nearby hospital. Our hearts go out to the loved ones of this patient.

“While legal abortion services in the United States have a very high safety record, a tragedy such as this is devastating to loved ones and we offer our deepest sympathies. Planned Parenthood of Illinois cares deeply about the health and safety of each and every patient. We do not publicly discuss private patient matters and we follow HIPAA laws that forbid the disclosure of patient information.”

But will Planned Parenthood be held responsible? Probably not. Should they? Absolutely.

As Operation Rescue writes in their article, “Abortion deaths like this are completely avoidable. When a woman bleeds to death after an abortion, it is usually an indication of error on the part of the abortionist coupled with a delay in calling for emergency assistance. Planned Parenthood should be held accountable,” said Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue and Pro-Life Nation. “Our heartfelt prayers go out to the victim’s family at this time of tragic loss.”

Carol Everett, an ex. abortionist speaks out in Bloodmoney and tells of the many incidents of botched abortions and the industries lack of care for the safety of the women. Their main goal was to make money, laws and rules be damned.

The mainstream media doesn’t report many similar cases, do the abortion lobby continues to get away with murder.

Only when something as horrific as the case of Dr. Kermit Gosnell, who ran an abortion clinic so macabre that it was called a “House of Horrors” will the media report on it. But check out a pro-life website like Operation Rescue and you will see report after report of botched abortions.

We must start demanding that regulatory agencies start doing their jobs and inspect abortion clinics and if they are found in violation of the law, shut them down.

Women need to be protected from predators that are more interested in the almighty dollar than they are about the safety of their patients.

For years Silent No More Awareness and other concerned citizens have been reporting about the harmful effects of abortion and unnatural birth control remedies. Breast cancer, strokes, heart attacks and other maladies such as the serious and fatal injuries and ultimately deaths are all part of the lies behind the masks of false compassion the abortionists wear.

More civil wrongs in the name of women’s rights. God forbid.

And They Want You To Believe That Abortions Are Safe And Rare!

Winning The Battle On Our Knees

Thursday, July 5th, 2012

“The battle is not yours, it’s the Lord’s.” 2 Chronicles 20:15

Four years ago, during the long hot summer before Mr. Barack Hussein Obama was elected as the “first black president of the United States of America,” I remember being distraught because prophets and pundits were predicting his election. One friend dreamed of Mr. Obama wearing a medical jacket and carrying a stethoscope. We later realized that God was revealing that the president would use health care as a wedge into the voting communities.

Friends, I was angry with God, and that was a dangerous position for me to be in. God had revealed to me that due to His hand of judgment on America, Mr. Obama would be the next President. I just couldn’t stand the thought of that!

It took the God ordained wisdom of a fellow prophetic voice in the person of my good friend and fellow warrior Pastor Clennard Childress of www.blackgenocide.org to calm me down. I remember him saying: “Alveda, only God can use one vessel, one man to shine light on two of the most demonic forces we battle today in the 21st century. Racism and abortion will come to the forefront with this presidency because Barack Obama will be the most abortion minded president American has ever known. On the other hand, racism will come out of the closet because some people will resent having a black face in the White House.”

As it turns out, Pastor Childress is right. President Obama’s abortion agenda is unprecedented. Then too, there is the flip side of the anti-Christ/anti-procreation agenda which President Obama also promotes. Abortion along with his homosexual marriage agenda are the two most effective forces against natural marriage and procreation. Face it friends, two men or two women engaged in sexual liaisons, and mothers who abort or surgically and chemically prevent conception are much less likely to birth babies.

And let’s not forget racism. Sadly, there are self proclaimed Christians praying that God will kill President Obama. Now, I know that David prayed for God to kill his enemies in the Old Testament, but after Christ came into the earth and died at Calvary and ascended to Heaven as our High Priest, we now have the privilege of praying for our leaders in authority and would be wise to pray that God transform the President rather than kill him.

Having said that, I’d like to remind us that we must pray on our knees for relief from ungodly leaders. When we get up from our knees, we should go to the ballot box and vote for life, natural marriage and family, deliverance from forces that are destroying our health, economy, educational system, etc.

As a 21st century guardian of the King Family Legacy, I’m reminded of what my Uncle M. L. wrote in the previous century in his “Letter From a Birmingham Jail.” He spoke of the most segregated hour in America, that being Sunday morning at 11:00 a.m. Friends, it’s time to come together regardless of ethnicity, church denomination, economic status, political party affiliation and other distinctions that divide us rather than unite us.

The blood of the innocents is crying from the ground. The earth is groaning under the injustices. Natural procreation is under attack. We must pray and ask God to help us according to 2 Chronicles 7:14 – “If my people who are called by My Name will humble themselves and pray…”

I’d like to end this blog with a message from controversial prophet Kim Clement. You may recall that he was one of the prophetic voices heralding the election of President Obama. Mr. Clement took a lot of heat for speaking that prophecy. This is not an endorsement of his message, just an FYI. Peace!

Kim Clement:
“I Will Not Look Away From the Sound That Is Coming”
June 6, 2012 – From The Matrix

Regarding the Shedding of Innocent Blood

What is happening now is that there is innocent blood being shed. And God says clearly and through me now, “Do you really think I will not respond to this that is happening? I’m already performing miracles with young kids that were supposed to die; I’ve protected them by the thousands and the tens of thousands. Those that have slipped by,” God said, “each one has a voice that I will replace with two voices. Each one has a sound. Where there is one innocent taken, I will give two innocent back. Where one purity is taken, I will give two purity back.”

God says, “I will not look away from the shedding of blood; I will not look away from the sound that is coming from the Middle East. I will not turn away from it,” says the Lord. “Even in America, even in the countries, the nations in Europe, where there is blood that is being shed,” God said, “I will not hold back. I will not be quiet. I will hear it, and watch what I will do with these young men and women,” says the Lord.

“They shall carry the sword; they shall carry the spears; they shall carry the answers, the medical answers. They shall go and use their abilities to bring about cures and bring about energy and bring about all kinds of things that will propagate the Gospel and the good news and the Word of the Lord. Therefore, look now, look as I speak,” says the Lord. “You will see things that you have not seen before and hear things that you’ve not heard before, for out of this death shall come life and out of the brutality,” says the Lord, “shall come purity, and a sound shall cover the earth,” says the Lord, “and the glory of the Lord shall cover the earth – the knowledge of the glory of the Lord shall cover the earth as the waters cover the seas,” says the Lord.

Blessings or Curses, Life or Death? The Thin Line Between Repentance, Revival and Rebellion

Tuesday, May 1st, 2012

“When the cares of my heart are many, your consolations cheer my soul. Can wicked rulers be allied with You, those who frame injustice by statue? They band together against the life of the righteous and condemn the innocent to death. But the Lord has become my stronghold, and my God the rock of my refuge.” Psalm 19-22

During a time of meditation, this scripture turned my attention to the current debate regarding abortion, artificial invasive and harmful birth control methods, and the Roe vs Wade decision which legalized the killing of little innocent babies in the womb. I find myself wondering yet again, why does America allow laws that uphold abortion, and use tax dollars to support the abortion agenda?

Often, during the day to day exploits and activities of the pro-life movement, we come into contact with friends and foes. The thin line comes in when we consider that pro-choice today can always become pro-life tomorrow. That’s what happened to me, not quite overnight, but I was once pro-choice and now I am pro-life.

What causes someone to turn from being pro-choice (which includes the agenda of abortion and euthanasia), to becoming pro-life? There are many, many testimonies about women and men who were once pro-choice and are now pro-life.

How does one turn away from the rebellion of the pro-choice agenda to the repentance and affirmation of the pro-life mission? I would strongly urge us to consider that such a transformation can only occur when there is a “change of heart.” God, by the Power of the Holy Spirit causes us to repent and turn to Him. In turning to God, we realize that the pro-death agenda is just that. Death.

In the scripture above, we read that there are those who frame injustice by statue (law.) Roe vs Wade, the proposed HHS mandate to pay for distribution of harmful “birth control” drugs and devices, millions of tax dollars to Planned Parenthood, America’s largest abortion provider, all are part of the framing of injustice in America. As my uncle once said: “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”

My friends, Planned Parenthood has launched a 40 days for abortion prayer campaign. Is this unbelievable or what?

America needs revival. God isn’t playing with us. There can be no revival without repentance. This won’t be the time for pointing fingers at one another, this must be a time of speaking up and out for life, for protection of our religious freedoms, and for repentance. We must love and encourage one another in this battle, and we must also love those of the pro-choice persuasion. We must fight to win them with love and truth. Amen? Amen!
