Big Tax Bucks Linked to Abortion Deaths Glaring in the Light of the Tonya Reaves Lawsuits

Tuesday, January 8th, 2013

Last summer, the National Black Prolife Coalition was among the first and most outraged groups to demand justice for the death of Tonya Reaves, a young Black woman killed by abortion in Chicago. For years, women who have been harmed by abortion have been crying out that “abortion hurts women!” Janet Morana is right to lead the crusade to RECALL ABORTION. As we somberly yet purposefully approach the 40 year landmine of the anniversary of Roe VS Wade, let us make no mistake about it. We are ready to continue this battle for LIFE AT ALL COSTS.

Yesterday Operation Rescue wrote an article stating that a second lawsuit had been filed against Planned Parenthood in the death of Tonya Reaves. Again, Tonya Reaves was a 24 year-old woman who went to Planned Parenthood for an abortion which they botched. She was then left bleeding for five hours before an ambulance was called. She was rushed to the hospital where they discovered that the abortion performed by Planned Parenthood was incomplete and she had to undergo another abortion in the hospital to remove the remainder of the baby. But it was too late and Tonya Reaves died later that evening in the hospital.

The first wrongful death lawsuit against Planned Parenthood was filed by Tonya’s family. The second lawsuit was filed on behalf of Tonya’s surviving son, Alvin, by his father. Tonya and her baby died, leaving young Alvin motherless.

Some people will not understand that along with the injustice of Planned Parenthood killing Tonya, another injustice occurred. They killed her baby in her womb as well. So how do we express to Tonya’s family in a loving way that two people died that day?

Because of lack of coverage by much of the media, not too many people are even aware of Tonya’s murder. And despite efforts by the National Black Prolife Coalition through press releases to hold Planned Parenthood accountable, there seems to be an unusual amount of stall tactics where justice should prevail. One can’t help but remember the onslaught of outrage during the Trayon Martin tragedy? Where are all of those outraged Black leaders who were demanding swift justice for the tragic slaying of Trayvon?

Not only are the leaders of the NAACP and other Black voices such as Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson lacking in conversation surrounding the unjust death of Tonya. Absent also is the outrage over the death of Tonya’s baby and the other 3,699 babies that were killed that day in abortion mills throughout this country. And all the while, Planned Parenthood keeps laughing on the way to the bank while killing hundreds of thousands of babies every year, to the tune of over 50 million dead babies on record since 1973. What’s even worse is that where before 2012, Planned Parenthood was receiving $1 million dollars a day in U. S. tax dollars, yes, around $365 million dollars a year; in 2012 they received over $500 million dollars from our tax coffers. And they are still operating poorly regulated killing centers around this country. And in a few days, people will be observe the 40th commemoration of legal baby slaughter in America.

Yes, abortion is legal; but it shouldn’t be. Abortion is not civil. Abortion is not moral. Abortion hurts women, kills babies, and even kills women like Tonya and the countless others who have died from abortion and/or subsequent complications over the years. Coat hangers are the excuse they hang over the head of the dead babies and maimed women. But as is explained by recording artist Fred Hammond, many women never used a coat hanger even when abortion was illegal. They just had a “medical procedure” called a D&C for a “mysterious female ailment” which was really a baby in the mother’s/patient’s womb.

The abortion industry began saying that they wanted to make abortion legal, safe, and rare. They have successes in one, legal. Safe, not so. Ask Tonya. Rare? Is 54+ million rare?

As for rare, Planned Parenthood’s annual report just released for FY 2011-2012 (calendar year 2011) shows that abortions are not rare with a record number of abortions in 2011 with 333,964. Over the last three years (2009-2011) Planned Parenthood has performed nearly one million abortions (995,687)

As for safe, well, I think we’ve covered that. I would just like to mention that there have been over 345 reported deaths linked directly botched abortions. And that’s just the ones that we know of that have been attributed to the abortions and are documented. Many other deaths are attributed to other causes but are actually a result of abortion complications.

This outrage bears repeating over and over – despite the government’s saying that they do not pay for abortions, Planned Parenthood received a record $542 million in taxpayer funding last year. They can spin it any way they want to, but our tax dollars are funding murder by abortion and not just for babies. Their mothers are dying too. Women are being lied to; told that abortions are safe and are a civil right. And our babies are dying.

I’M OUTRAGED! WE ALL SHOULD BE OUTRAGED! RECALL ABORTION now!

License to Kill

Finding a balance between enough regulation and too much regulation is always a challenge. But I think we all agree that any business that is left unregulated or at least regulated without enforcement is not a good idea.

Michigan lawmakers are trying to fix that problem with an industry that has virtually gone unchecked for many years: the abortion industry. But, like in other states where lawmakers have tried to place regulations that will help protect the women seeking abortions, the abortion industry is labeling such legislation as an attack on women’s rights.

The New York Times published an editorial by last week that did just that. They called the new regulations “An Affront to Michigan Women.” They said,

“Despite clear public support for women’s reproductive rights, Michigan’s Republican-controlled Legislature used the just-ended lame-duck session to ram through harmful measures eliminating insurance coverage of abortions and imposing medically unnecessary regulations on providers of safe and legal abortion care.”

Did you ever wonder why regulations on hospitals or medical clinics are not met with such heated opposition? Doctors have to deal with all kinds of regulations to protect patient’s rights and keep them safe. Why does the abortion industry and abortionists feel that they are above all that?

For years now abortion profiteers have been able to do as they please without much oversight because people are afraid to being labeled as “attackers of women’s reproductive rights.”

When problems do arise, they throw a lot of money at them (because they make millions from abortions) and make it go away such was the case in Kansas and the Planned Parenthood case that has seen most of the charges brought against them dropped and the life and career of former Kansas attorney general Phill Kline destroyed for going after them.

Another point of contention is his characterization of abortion mills as providing “safe and legal abortion care.” Try telling that to the family of Tonya Reaves who dies after a botched abortion at a Planned Parenthood facility in Chicago or the hundreds of other who have died from botched abortions.

Without sufficient regulations and enforcement stories like that of Dr. Kermit Gosnell in Philadelphia who performed abortions by delivering the babies and sticking scissors at the base of the skull killing the babies. He was eventually arrested and charged with six counts of murder. Other members of his staff were also charged with various crimes.

A friend of mine brought this editorial to my attention along with her letter to the editor. Here’s what she had to say.

To the Editor,

Contrary to the Dec. 27th editorial, bills regulating abortion services in Michigan are needed, sorely needed to correct literally decades of sub-standard and dangerous medical practices that have plagued that state’s abortion facilities for decades. Several Michigan clinics violated state laws by throwing bloody bio-hazard waste and literally hundreds of patient records into their dumpsters. In recent years even the dismembered remains of aborted babies were discovered in clinic trash containers. Hundreds of lawsuits have been brought by women permanently maimed by abortion practitioners. If the Times thinks that the new statutes are an “affront to Michigan women” it should consider Tamia Russell, Chevron Williams and Regina Johnson—just three women who died from botched abortions in Michigan. The Times never wrote any editorials about them! Michigan should be applauded for calling abortionists to responsibility in a trade that often exploits women who are vulnerable and desperate and believe abortion is their only “choice.”

Monica Migliorino Miller, Ph.D.

The pro-aborts are always trying to paint the pro-lifers as being against women’s rights which couldn’t be further from the truth. We love the babies and mothers alike. We consider ALL LIFE to be precious and a gift from God. We view abortion as being harmful to women and would like to see it end. But the reality is that, at least for now, it’s legal. With that said, we don’t want women hurt by money hungry abortionists that are more interested in their profit line than they are about the women. Too many botched abortions are taking place. Too many women are being hurt. Any regulations that will reduce those numbers is a good thing and should not be opposed by anyone, especially those that say they believe in access to “safe and legal abortions” for women.

One last thought. I’m reminded of what Abby Johnson wrote in her book, Unplanned. She said that when she first began working for Planned Parenthood it was because she was told that they wanted to make abortions safe and rare. I’ve noticed that nobody talks about the “rare” aspect of abortions any more. Do you ever wonder why? I guess there’s no money in that.

New Women’s Health Video

Tuesday, December 11th, 2012

Hello friends, please check out my new video at www.africanamericanoutreach.com (on right of the page) on women’s health issues. Also check out the head of Planned Parenthood asking members of Congress to return to their eugenics roots HERE. Finally, please consider how Planned Parenthood mounted a very successful campaign during the elections as reported by the Washington Post. They are very bold in presenting their platforms. We should be so bold. Actually, we should be MORE BOLD!

A very good prolife friend recently observed that in 2012 “we were no match for the synergy created by a president, political party, and abortion groups working in tandem.” Let’s change the game. Watch out for 2013. THE GAME WILL BE ADVANCED!

Let’s be the real voice for women’s health in 2013! Janet Morana is working on a new book and you won’t want to miss this eye opener! Also, if you haven’t read LIFE AT ALL COSTS, put it on a serious to do list for early 2013.

October: National Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Thursday, October 11th, 2012

Every time I see the pink ribbons, balloons, pink lemonade and everything else associated with the National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I get sad because the link to breast cancer and abortions and contraceptives isn’t addressed in the campaign. I was invited to speak at a Breast Cancer Awareness event in Atlanta. I am so sorry that I was already booked for something else, because I really would have gone and passed out the ABC’s of breast cancer brochures and also “The Pill Kills.” I am so very glad that the Atlanta Archdiocese is stepping in and asking people not to support Komen because they still give money to Planned Parenthood. Please read the book PLANNED BULLYHOOD.

Who are the “1 in 3?”

Wednesday, October 3rd, 2012

This comes to us from Simcha Fisher at the National Catholic Register. I would like to add that we need to bear in mind that the African American women are the most targeted by the abortion agenda. And as far as women’s testimonies go, you can also visit Silent No More Awareness to hear from other women who have had abortions and regret it.

“According to Planned Parenthood’s Guttmacher Institute, “One in three women will obtain an abortion before the age of 45.”

“This statistic is featured in a new pro-choice campaign, 1 in 3. The message is that abortion is so common, so widespread, that there should be no stigma attached to the procedure. We should, they say, be working hard to ensure that the one in three women who get an abortion can do it easily, without fuss , and that they can talk about it openly, without shame. The sheer numbers of women involved with abortion shows that abortion is here to stay — and that it’s no big deal.

“One in three women in America will obtain an abortion. And here are some other statistics about women in America:”

Take Another Look, and Another, Before It’s Too Late…

Monday, September 17th, 2012

“Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.” – Isaiah 5:20

The Bible warns us to not do evil and call it good and yet it’s been happening for all of mankind. There are probably many things that the above passage of the Bible can refer to but I want to talk about human sexuality, traditional procreative marriage, and the results of failing to adhere to God’s plan for humankind.

Back in the 60s the sexual revolution began which changed the way many people view sex, marriage, and contraceptives. Was this the beginning of our problems? Not by any stretch of the imagination. Remember, Margaret Sanger began the Birth Control League about 100 years ago which later became Planned Parenthood. She was a eugenicist who wanted to control what she viewed as inferior races, mainly the Black Nation. She wanted to use sterilization and birth control pills as a means of accomplishing her eugenic philosophy.

The use of birth control fueled promiscuity because people could have sex without the consequences of pregnancy. Soon casual or recreational sex became accepted by our society.

Following the acceptance of “free love” which was actually casual sex, the natural progression was for men to have sex with other men and women to have sex with other women. And that too is now being accepted by many in our society.

This misplaced compassion to say that people should be able to love whoever they want is a stumbling block; not taking into account what God said about homosexual relations. And now many like the President of the United States and NAACP have come out in support of homosexual marriage. Same-sex marriage is anti-natural marriage and procreation. Homosexual couples cannot procreate. They cannot obey God’s command to “be fruitful and multiply.”

The next step will be for those who want to live in polygamist relationships to demand their rights to do so. Oh yeah, I forgot, that’s beginning to happen already. Recently in Sao Paulo, Brazil a notary has accepted a civil union between three people. This has sparked a controversy for now. Soon it too will be accepted by our society and they will be fighting for their right to get married.

In a recent movie, Savages, the main actors, two men and a woman, were in a sexual relationship. In the trailer, after introducing the two men she proclaims, “and yes, I’m with both of them.”

We are sliding down a slippery slope and there seems to be no end in sight. We need to find a way to stop the descent before there is no way to turn back, before we self-destruct. God is the answer. He, and only He, is able to help us to return to being a moral society. Yes there will always be some element of sin in our society as humans have a propensity towards sinning but as a whole people can make good moral decisions with the help from God.

Cracks in the Citadel: Planned Parenthood, Religious Coalition for Reproductive Rights and Catholics for Choice

Thursday, September 6th, 2012

As more truth is revealed the duplicity of the abortion industry, led by Planned Parenthood, Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice and Catholics for Choice, is being exposed. Now people are seeing the light through the cracks in the walls of the citadel of death.

Cases in point:

Karen Handle, former vice president of public policy for Komen for the Cure, recently released her new book, Planned Bullyhood, where she exposes the truth behind the Planned Parenthood funding battle with Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the breast-cancer research charity, earlier this year. “She calls the organization “a bunch of schoolyard thugs.” She says Planned Parenthood has become “blatantly partisan.” But perhaps the harshest criticism in her new book . . . is reserved for the group’s president, Cecile Richards, who she says launched a “vicious mugging” of the charity, ultimately hurting women.” writes Abigail Pesta

Cecile Richards, President of Planned Parenthood, gave her speech at the Democratic National Conference yesterday where she touted more misinformation in an effort to persuade voters into thinking that killing babies and having recreational sex are women’s health care issues; even going so far as to say that women are on the menu rather than at the table in the women’s rights discussion.

And Rev, Harry Knox, president and CEO of the Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice, sidetracked the issue of religious freedom. In his article he quotes Bishop Tonyia Rawls who said that, “God gave free will and it is that very freedom that challenges and provokes in ways that lets the best of our beliefs shine through.”

But what is left out of the conversation is that God’s giving of free will is not an invitation to blatantly turn away from God and his Commandments. God gave us free will because he wants us to love Him and serve Him freely and of our own will. He does not want robots programmed to love Him but He also does not wish for us to defy Him and choose evil and death.

Bring down the pro-death walls and rebuild for life.

Why did so many vote for President Obama in 2008?

Tuesday, August 28th, 2012

As an African American, as a woman, as a Christian, and as human being, I’ve been asking myself, “Why did no many people vote for President Obama in 2008 – why????”

Why did over 50% of Catholics…

Why did over 90% of African Americans…

Why did so many Christians…

Why did so many women…

Vote for the most abortion supporting, homosexual marriage supporting, trash the economy supporting President in American History??????

Why did President Obama win the women’s vote in 2008?

President Obama appeals to women’s need for independence and control over their bodies and their reproductive freedom. This desire for women’s rights is not a bad desire. But women still believe that abortion and contraceptives are health care. They are not! Abortion kills babies and even women.

And the population that is harmed the most by abortion is the Black women. Case in point is Tonya Reaves who died on July 20, 2012 after having a botched abortion at a Planned Parenthood killing center in Chicago, Illinois.

Why a woman would vote for a candidate who promises health benefits and delivers death is beyond me – except for the fact that we know that people are being deceived. The lie is that abortion and contraceptives are health care. The truth is that health care prevents sickness and cures disease. A baby is not a sickness, a pregnancy is not a disease. But the so called cure of abortion and contraceptives kill babies and harm women.

People do not have all of the facts. There are harmful side effects from using contraceptives and getting abortions; increased risks of breast cancer, cervical cancer, strokes, heart attacks, suicide, drug and alcohol abuse, and any more.

Women are making important decisions regarding their bodies without having all the necessary information. Abortion and contraception (surgery and drugs) hurt women. They are NOT healthcare.

All too often all across the country, women are being transported to hospitals after botched abortions. You might ask, “why haven’t I heard about this?” The mainstream media doesn’t want to report this information. If you don’t read pro-life blogs regularly, I’m not surprised that you haven’t heard these vital facts.

And forget about the abortion industry telling you the truth. They haven’t done that ever. Just recently I heard of a young lady who was told by an abortion facility that she wasn’t pregnant with a baby but that all it was was “a sac filled with fluid and tissue.”

Women think that President Obama is a friend to women. He is not. He is not pro-life. Abortion is not healthcare. Abortion kills women and abortion kills babies, real human persons in their earliest stages of their development but human persons just the same.

People are misinformed. Let the truth be told.
