CNN requesting stories from post-abortive mothers… spread the word!

Wednesday, February 13th, 2013

SPACERCNN iReport LogoCNN writes:

Have you had an abortion?

Forty years ago this year, the Supreme Court decided the historic Roe v. Wade case regarding whether women in the United States are legally permitted to have abortions. The result is that abortion cannot be legally banned, but states can regulate abortion procedures starting at the end of the pregnancy’s first trimester.

As much as abortion gets debated politically, rarely do we read stories of women who have chosen to terminate a pregnancy. We want to hear from anyone who has had first-hand experience with abortion. How difficult was the decision? How do you feel about it now? How did it change your life?

We understand that abortion is a sensitive subject, and all submissions will be treated with discretion. You don’t have to show yourself on camera. But feel free to write your thoughts, record your voice, or make a video telling us about your story.

You could be part of a story for CNN.com.

King, Pavone, Gardner appalled by rising death counts on NAACP, CBC watch

Friday, February 8th, 2013

SPACERLeRoy CarhartAnother woman and baby dead by legal abortion and African American and other religious prolife leaders are outraged as the NAACP, The Congressional Black Caucus, many in the Christian and political community and others remain silent on the Reproductive Genocide issue.

“The death count keeps rising. Why aren’t our highly visible “leaders” protesting?” asks Dr. Alveda King, niece of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Director of African American Outreach for Priests for Life and post-abortive spokeswoman for the Silent No More Awareness Campaign.

“It has happened again. Another mother has been killed by so-called ‘safe and legal’ abortion,” said Father Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life. “It happens constantly, in fact, but the abortion industry usually succeeds in covering it up. And even when they don’t, the rest of us succeed in keeping it relatively quiet. Late-term abortionist LeRoy Carhart began an abortion procedure a few days ago on a woman who was about 33 weeks pregnant. These abortions are legal, and he performs them at his killing center in Germantown, MD. Yesterday, she developed complications. The abortionist could not be reached. She was taken to the emergency room by private vehicle, and she died,” Pavone explained.

“Women of all ages, shapes, sizes and ethnicities are dying by abortion,” added King who cited the recent death by abortion of Tonya Reaves in Chicago. “My great-great grandfather , Dr. Adam Daniel Williams, a pastor original NAACP founder would be appalled to know that mothers and children are being denied liberty and life at the hands of the abortion/contraceptives industry. We must RECALL ABORTION now.”

Day Gardner, founder of the National Black Pro-Life Union laments, “This recent death adds to the chilling reports of reproductive genocide in America. why is the NAACP silent… again? As a child, I thought the NAACP to be a super hero organization; an organization that would fight racism down to its very core — and like a super hero — it would always stand for truth and justice…fighting boldly for civil rights and freedom for all black people.”

“Apparently, there was some fine print in there that said — except for those children who are too small to defend themselves — we will allow their civil rights to be violated,” said Gardner.

“What bothers me most is the NAACP is very quick to recognize racism everywhere else except the one place that truly affects all of us. Black women and their unborn children are targeted by the abortion industry while the NAACP looks the other way,” Gardner concluded.

It would seem that the National Black Prolife Coalition is striking a serious nerve and a serious chord in their efforts to expose the blatant Reproductive Genocide Movement in America. When Ryan Bomberger posted an add calling out the National Association for the Abortion of Colored People on his websites, the NAACP squealed real loud, even going to the point of calling their attorneys to apply scare tactics to charge Ryan to back down. The NAACP was also shocked by the aggressive prayer protest hosted by Dr. Johnny Hunter, Pastor Stephen Broden, Rev. Walter Hoye, and other Black leaders of the National Black Prolife Coalition who appeared with local leaders at the February 1, 2013 NAACP Image Awards to demand that the NAACP break ties with the abortion and contraceptives industry, headed up by Planned Parenthood, America’s largest abortion provider. The leaders also demanded that the NAACP break ties with the homosexual marriage campaign and return to those values that are life affirming for colored people.

“There really is a National Alliance, Campaign or Association for the Abortion of Colored People. This force to be reckoned with includes Planned Parenthood, the NAACP, The Congressional Black Caucus, the abortion supporting political powers that be, and unfortunately the Christian pastors of America who for the most part are watching this debacle play out from the sidelines,” said Alveda King.

“Since 1973, over 55 million babies have been legally aborted – which means slaughtered or killed – in America. Black babies make up nearly one third of the deaths, which is Reproductive Genocide in that the living African American population in America is estimated to be around 13%. Add to these startling figures the deaths and serious injuries of women who are victims of the supposedly “safe, legal and rare” abortions and harmful, invasive contraceptives that the Alliance for the Abortion of Colored People want to keep ramming down our throats while they keep laughing at us all the way to the bank, filling their coffers at the expense of the blood shed by our babies and our women.

“Enough is enough already! Too many babies are dead; too many women are hurt, suffering or dead by acts of abortion. If people really want to advance colored people, they will help the least of these rediscover the lost values that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. spoke of during his lifetime. They will help colored people and all people discover purpose in life. They will help people find jobs, and finish their education. They will recall abortion. They will own up to the duplicities that they attempt to cover up with deceptive ad campaigns that promise to help us when all the time they keep killing us.

“Pray that the voices against this injustice will increase, will grow stronger, and that America will wake up before it is too late,” King concluded.

The NAACP Threatens Legal Action Against The Radiance Foundation

Thursday, February 7th, 2013

SPACERCIVIL-WRONG

By The Radiance Foundation

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Washington (Feb 6, 2013) The NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People) is falsely accusing The Radiance Foundation and its chief creative officer, Ryan Bomberger of “trademark infringement” over an ad campaign that exposes the NAACP’s pro-abortion position.

In response, Radiance and Bomberger, who is black, has asked a federal court to declare that the First Amendment protects their exercise of free speech and that their speech does not infringe on any of the NAACP’s trademarks or other rights. The lawsuit does not seek any damages.

Bomberger has written for several years about the NAACP’s pro-abortion actions, satirically referring to the organization as the “National Association for the Abortion of Colored People.”

“It is ironic that a black man is being sued by the nation’s oldest civil rights group for exercising his most basic civil right—the freedom of speech,” said Bomberger. “This threat of legal action from the NAACP is nothing more than a multi-million dollar organization’s attempt to bully someone who’s simply telling the truth. Our inner-cities are crumbling, two-parent married families barely exist, 72.3 percent of our children are born into homes without fathers, and the NAACP wants to silence me for pointing out its support of abortion.”

Planned Parenthood co-sponsors the NAACP’s annual conventions, and the NAACP has shown its support of the nation’s largest abortion chain by frequently defending it.

Former NAACP President Julian Bond once spoke at a dinner for NARAL and praised the fact that black women have high abortion rates.

Sixty percent of viable black pregnancies are aborted in New York City, the home of NARAL and Planned Parenthood. Statistics show that more black babies are aborted in New York City than are born alive: 1,489 black babies are aborted for every 1,000 born alive.

To educate the public, Bomberger, an adoptee and adoptive father, created the www.TooManyAborted.com abortion awareness campaign. The public ad campaign was the first to expose the eugenic racism that gave birth to Planned Parenthood and the tragic alliance that exists between the nation’s oldest civil rights group and the nation’s abortion giant.

Alliance Defending Freedom allied attorney Charles M. Allen with the Glen Allen, Va. firm Goodman, Allen & Filetti PLLC filed Friday in U.S. District Court in The Radiance Foundation v. National Association for the Advancement of Colored People for the Eastern District of Virginia, Norfolk Division.

“The Radiance Foundation has no intentions of being silenced by those who disagree with the facts,” Bomberger declares.

For media inquiries, please call 1-877-517-4463 or email media@theradiancefoundation.org.

Fr. Frank Pavone Urges Americans to Recall Abortion in Sermon at National Memorial for the Preborn

Monday, January 28th, 2013

Priests for Life

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Date: January 25, 2013

Contact: Leslie Palma
347-286-7277

Washington, DC – Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, today delivered his sermon Recall Abortion at the National Memorial for the Preborn and their Mothers and Fathers at the DAR Constitution Hall in Washington, DC.

Excerpts from the sermon, which was given before pro-lifers gathered on the Mall for today’s March for Life, follow. For the complete text, please go HERE

We recall abortion today.

We recall the most destructive decision and costly error ever made by a human authority, the Roe vs. Wade decision.

We recall what abortion is, because in Christ we have the courage to both face the truth and call things by their proper name.

We recall, and must recall to others, what the abortionists themselves admit about abortion, that it is dismemberment and decapitation, that it tears children apart and brings out the skull in fragments rather than as a unified piece.

Brothers and sisters, if abortion can be called right, if it can in the least way be tolerated, then –

We are not our brother’s keeper after all.

….

Therefore the Christian Church must rise up to meet this hour. We must rise up, we must speak up, we must act up.

We must make it clear to those in our midst who are tempted to abort their child that we recall them, that we recall their confusion and despair, and are ready to meet it with compassion and hope.

We must make it clear to those in our midst who every day recall the child they aborted and recall their grief and pain, that we recall them, too, and that we have good news for them, that we have someone to introduce them to, that we have a Savior who lifts us up out of the darkest sin, and that his name is Jesus Christ.

We must recall mothers and fathers and families to their original dignity.

We must recall to their proper status the children in the womb.

We must recall the medical profession to its proper and noble role: healers of life, not takers of life.

We must recall the government to its fundamental role: to protect the rights God has given us, not to be a god over us.

We must recall public servants to their fundamental duties. We need public servants who know the difference between serving the public and killing the public. And if they don’t, they do not belong in public office.

….

We recall the Church to acknowledge, furthermore, the sacrifice it is going to take to end abortion. We have been promised trouble in this world, and we know trouble comes when we address abortion.

When we speak about it in Church, we’re told it’s too political.
When we speak about it in politics, we’re told it’s too religious.
In the world of media the topic is too disturbing.
In the world of business it’s too distracting.
In the world of education it’s too controversial.
In the streets it’s too disruptive.

So if abortion is wrong, where do we go to say so?
We go into the Churches, into politics, into the media, into the business world, into education, and into the streets!

….

When faced with trouble and opposition, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. reminded the civil rights activists that no dogs were going to turn them around, no water hoses were going to turn them around, no police clubs or jail sentences were going to turn them around, and no injunction were going to turn them around.

And I say to you today in the pro-life movement: no Planned Parenthood is going to turn us around, no biased media is going to turn us around, no HHS mandate is going to turn us around, and no Obama administration is going to turn us around.
It’s been forty years. The Promised Land is in front of us! And we are going to enter it together!

“Reproductive Genocide Anniversary Video Shocker Gauche To Say The Least” says Dr. Alveda King

Thursday, January 24th, 2013

130124 blog image

“Necessary Roughness” actor Mehcad Brooks and the pro-abortion Center for Reproductive Rights want America to celebrate the deaths of an estimated 56 million unborn lost to abortion since the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision 40 years ago. Their subsequent release of a video “Happy 40th Anniversary, Baby” this week has been branded as gauche, “skanky,” “sick” and “disgusting.”

Please see the macabre original video and compelling response video from Day Gardner which shows what the anti- aborts really mean to celebrate. [UPDATE: There was such an outrage from both pro-lifers and pro-aborts that the video has been taken down.]

In the original video Brooks is dressed to kill, holding a rose, striking a cocktail glass and saying “Hey baby, did you think I forgot?”

With a background if sinister flames, he continues, “How could I ever forget our anniversary? All these years. So many people said we’d never make it. They’ve been trying to tear us apart. Take you away. Put limits on you. On me. On us.”

“But every time we’ve proven ourselves stronger. An anniversary like this is not something you forget.”

In response, using Brooks as a voice over, Gardner portrays the graphic images of the victims of Roe VS Wade.

As a pastoral counselor to many young women, and director of African American Outreach at Priests for Life, I was upset by the spot. A young woman in her 20s sent me her reaction and I think it’s so compelling. This young woman wrote: ‘I feel molested after seeing it. Skanky, fitting for what it celebrates, sick. Is he married to abortion?’”

She had previously viewed “Necessary Roughness,” but she and many others will be turning the channel in the future.

As an African-American man, Mehcad Brooks should be shielding women from abuse and working to foster new generations of good men. Instead, he is spreading slime over the airwaves.

When I viewed the original, I felt violated and felt like I was observing evil personified. Women are outraged. I’m post-abortive, and this is the last thing I and millions of other post-abortive women will tolerate.

While Day’s response video brings my own pain to the surface, I’m glad for her courage. Our babies deserve to have the truth before the eyes of the people.

As my co-creator of our internet talk show THE VISION, a former Miss Delaware and president of the National Black Pro-Life Union, Day is “spot on it.”

“I found it totally disgusting. It turned my stomach,” says Day. “I thought the whole thing was very demonic because he’s sitting there as a member of the black community and we have the highest abortion rate. As a man, he’s a bad example when the black community has such a problem with its men stepping up to be the fathers their children need. This is so evil and so wrong on many levels. “Every time he said the word ‘baby, I kept seeing all the babies that were tortured and brutally killed since the Roe v. Wade ruling. More than 55 million children have been killed and this idiot is laughing.”

Read what others have to say: [Excerpts from Anita Cranes WND report]

“In the 40 years since Roe v. Wade was set down, more than 55 million unborn children have been killed while that many mothers were wounded by abortion. Ask the post-abortive women who stood on the steps of the Supreme Court yesterday if the abortion they now painfully regret was sexy or romantic. The Center for Reproductive Rights and Mehcad Brooks should be ashamed for attempting to glamorize abortion in this way – women deserve better.”

Marjorie Dannenfelser, founder and president of the Susan B. Anthony List

“Women deserve better than abortion.” Feminists for Life

“As abortion supporters celebrate Roe as a romantic anniversary, I have to think about the 56 million children who will never celebrate an anniversary with anyone. It’s beyond disrespectful… [for] Mehcad Brooks to make a joke out of the violent deaths of millions of unborn children while millions of mothers and fathers mourn the loss of their children to abortion.” Lila Rose, Live Action News

“This video represents an all-time low for the pro-abortion movement.

“It’s misogynistic and exploitive. Even worse, it’s making a joke of something as serious as abortion. Treating this issue so cavalierly is really insulting, not only to the pro-life movement but to all women. I can’t imagine this will appeal to even the most ardent abortion supporters.” Janet Morana, executive director of Priests for Life, co-founder of the Silent No More Awareness Campaign and author of the new book “Recall Abortion.”

“I actually went and commented on this guy’s Facebook, as many in my group are doing, just thanking him for showing us what abortion really is: the selfish and unapologetic exploitation of women.” Destiny Herndon-De La Rosa, a founder of New Wave Feminists

“I am the woman once known as the Jane Roe of Roe v. Wade. But I dislike the name Jane Roe and all that it stands for. I am a real person named Norma McCorvey and I want you to know the horrible and evil things that Roe v. Wade did to me and others. I never got the opportunity to speak for myself in my own court case. It is like a living hell knowing that you have had a part to play, though in some sense I was just a pawn of the legal system. But I have had to accept my role in the deaths of millions of babies and the destruction of women’s lives.” Norma McCorvey, Roe No More

National Prayer Service to Welcome Key Religious Leaders

Friday, January 18th, 2013

Contact: Leslie Palma
347-286-7277

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Fr. Frank Pavone, in his role as President of the National Pro-life Religious Council, announced today that at the National Memorial for the Preborn and their Mothers and Fathers, the premier national prayer event marking 40 years since Roe vs. Wade, the Patriarch of the International Communion of the Charismatic Episcopal Church will be in attendance.

“Archbishop Craig Bates has been a strong advocate for the unborn for many years,” said Fr. Pavone. “The priests who serve in the Charismatic Episcopal Church, moreover, have consistently spoken up with clarity and courage against the scourge of abortion. We are grateful for their witness and honored by their commitment to join us in the National Prayer Service.”

Also attending will be Dr. Robert H. Turrill, President and CEO of the Evangelical Church Alliance, which is one of America’s oldest associations of independent evangelical pastors, chaplains, missionaries, and ministry leaders.

“As the sanctity of life is a paramount issue for all Americans including the pre-born, if a citizen does not have a right to life, all other rights are meaningless,” Dr Turrill explained.

Speaking of the service, Dr. Turrill added, “I will be attending the pro-life prayer service Friday morning, January 25, sponsored by the organizers of the National Memorial for the Pre-born and Their Mothers and Fathers, and encourage my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ to do the same.”

Of the role of evangelicals in the pro-life struggle, Fr. Pavone stated, “The pro-life cause would be far behind where it is now if it were not for the tireless commitment of our evangelical brothers and sisters. We are all honored by Dr. Turrill’s participation in this momentous service on January 25.”

Also attending will be a dozen bishops of the Anglican Church from across America, and many other religious leaders from denominations large and small.

The organizing committee of the service includes Presbyterians, Methodists, Lutherans, Church of Christ, Conservative Congregational Christian Conference, Charismatic Episcopal Church, Anglicans, and Catholics.

“All in all, we expect clergy and attendees from denominations of every letter of the alphabet,” Fr. Pavone said.

The motivation behind all that is happening on this day was summarized by the Rev. Dr. Matthew C. Harrison, President of the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod, who stated, “The right to life is at the foundation of human existence. Life and death belong to God, not government. Christians must come together in defense of life, speaking out as our consciences and religious principles dictate. This is our duty before God and our right as citizens of this land. This freedom must be preserved. ‘We must obey God, rather than men.’ (Acts 5:29)”

The service will take place from 8:30 to 10:30 am at DAR Constitution Hall 1776 D St., NW (18th and D St), Washington DC. For Catholics who wish to attend mass first, there will be a mass at the same location at 7:30am.

NAACP Forsakes Tonya Reaves and Natural Marriage, Favors Reproductive Genocide

Thursday, January 10th, 2013

SPACER
NAACP NOIn the wake of seemingly endless moral debacles such as Planned Parenthood’s slaughter of Tonya Reaves, a young Chicago mother, and Washington’s almost manic stronghold tactics to weaken natural marriage, thousands of African Americans are outraged by the NAACP’s support of abortion and homosexual marriage.

NAACP protests demanding that they support reproductive justice and natural law are mounting. Hundreds of NAACP members have already burned their membership cards in protest of NAACP’s stance on various issues like gay-marriage and their support of and alliance with Planned Parenthood, the largest abortion provider in America who is responsible for the charge towards the reproductive genocide of Blacks.

This year we shudder to recall the pain and suffering of the millions of mothers and our dead babies after 40 years of the landmine decision of Roe vs. Wade which made abortion legal in the United States in all nine months of pregnancy. My Great Grandfather, Dr. Adam Daniel Williams pastored Ebenezer Baptist Church for over 25 years and was a founding member of the Georgia NAACP. He and his successors; my Granddaddy M. L. King, Sr., Uncle M. L. King, Jr., and my father A. D. King, Sr. all taught and embraced biblical governance. This means that historically and currently the “King Family Legacy” embraces natural law.

Our bloodline embraces the teachings of Jesus Christ, outlined in the Holy Bible. The Bible is clear on the tenants of natural life, natural marriage and family. The NAACP’s departure from the wisdom and life affirming principles of the Bible is very alarming, and must be confronted to ensure the safety, security and future of our children.

In their book LIFE AT ALL COSTS, I and other Black leaders point out that the NAACP has done little in the recent past to protect and advance the reproductive continuity of Black people in America, and less to support women by offering healthy pregnancy options including pregnancy support groups and adoption.

“In fact, their alliances with Planned Parenthood and the anti-natural marriage lobby helps to ensure that the numbers of African American births continue to be curtailed,” the leaders say.

America is under attack by a three-headed monster, racism, reproductive genocide, and sexual perversion. This monster is destroying America from within. America needs to repent for not shunning the sins of our forefathers.

We need to forgive and receive forgiveness for the harmful, hurtful influences of slavery and subsequent ties to sexism and racism. We need the blood of Jesus to cleanse us and the full armor of God to protect us. I am a spokesperson for the SILENT NO MORE AWARENESS CAMPAIGN; and have received forgiveness and healing for my own abortions.

The NAACP needs to return back to their roots and start fighting for biblical values before they become obsolete. It’s been 150 years since Emancipation was penned. Babies are still not free. Wake up NAACP.

“Safe & Legal” Project Highlights Abortion’s Danger to Women

Wednesday, January 9th, 2013

Priests for Life

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Date: January 9, 2013

Contact: Leslie Palma
347-286-7277

In 1996, then-President Bill Clinton famously said he would like to see abortion “safe, legal and rare.” Seventeen years later, abortion remains legal. It kills more than a million unborn babies a year, so it is certainly not rare. And as a new project called “Safe & Legal” demonstrates, abortion is not safe for women.

“We are bringing graphic visuals to the truth that abortion harms women,” explains Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, which is co-sponsoring this project along with Operation Rescue and Life Dynamics (the group which initiated it).

A new brochure, entitled “Safe and Legal,” shows a beautiful photo of Marla Cardamone, and then her horrific autopsy photos following her death by “safe and legal abortion” at a respected hospital in Pittsburgh, PA.

“I am grateful to Marla’s mom, Deborah, and her husband for their full support of this project and their permission to use these photos,” said Fr. Pavone. “As they know, this project isn’t just about Marla; it’s about the countless women Marla represents, who are killed by abortion without the world ever knowing.”

This past July, Priests for Life and its Director of African-American Outreach, Alveda King, helped bring attention to a young mother, Tonya Reaves, who was killed after a botched second-trimester abortion in Chicago.

“The utter failure of the abortionist to get help for Tonya after she developed complications constitutes nothing less than murder,” Fr. Pavone explained.

The case of Tonya, and many others, will be highlighted along with that of Marla on the special website, SafeAndLegal.com that has been developed for this project.

The brochure about Marla will be distributed widely by Priests for Life and others at this year’s March for Life. Moreover, also at the March, Priests for Life will release Executive Director Janet Morana’s new book, Recall Abortion, which makes the case that abortion is a failed product that should be recalled by the government just as other harmful products have been recalled. This book, along with the annual gathering of the Silent No More Awareness Campaign, which Janet co-founded, will reinforce the same message about how abortion harms women.

“We ask everyone to get involved and to spread the truth about Marla and others killed and wounded by abortion,” said Fr. Frank. “As Deborah Cardamone has said often, we have to speak, because if we are silent, we are part of the problem.”
