Diagnosing the Problem

An extremely overweight woman calls her doctor’s office to schedule an appointment to get rid of all the excess fat. An appointment is made for liposuction surgery the following week.

The day of the surgery comes and the woman goes to the doctor’s office for surgery. Before surgery a counselor escorts the woman to a small room where they explain the liposuction procedure and what she can expect. She is given a pamphlet with a list of foods that are safe for her to eat subsequent to her surgery so that she doesn’t put on the weight back and ends up back for surgery again. The list of foods includes a picture next to each food. The food includes items like hamburgers, french fries, ice cream, cake, hot dogs, and pizza. However, the pictures next to the food items are those of vegetable and fruits. Additionally, she’s given a prescription to take with each meal which is supposed to prevent her body from converting the food to fat. (Studies have shown that it is not always effective.)

The discussion with the counselor does not include anything about the actual surgery, the risks of the surgery or any side effects. All she is told that once she has the surgery everything will be okay and she can resume her life as before without the extra fat.

She is not counseled on good eating habits, on exercising, on food quantity consumption, or the dangers of the liposuction surgery.

The narrative above shocks the conscience of the average person. If a doctor acted this recklessly and without real regard for the patient, the public would be in an uproar and would call for the revocation of the doctor’s license.

So why aren’t people in an uproar over the abortion industry?

They do the same thing.

An extremely pregnant woman calls her doctor’s office to schedule an appointment to get rid of all the baby. An appointment is made for abortion surgery the following week.

The day of the surgery comes and the woman goes to the doctor’s office for surgery. Before surgery a counselor escorts the woman to a small room where they explain the abortion procedure and what she can expect. She is given a pamphlet with a list of sexual activities that are safe for her to try subsequent to her surgery so that she doesn’t get pregnant and ends up back for surgery again. The list of sexual activities includes . . . . However, the picture next to the sexual activities are those of non-pregnant women. Additionally, she’s given a condom to use with each sexual act which is supposed to prevent her body from becoming pregnant. (Studies have shown that it is not always effective.)

The discussion with the counselor does not include anything about the actual surgery, the risks of the surgery or any side effects. All she is told that once she has the surgery everything will be okay and she can resume her life as before without the baby.

She is not counseled on abstinence, on chastity, on adoption, or the dangers of the abortion surgery.

The abortion industry must be stopped. The public must be educated on what really happens in abortion centers. We must make know the effects of abortion on the women who have had an abortion and the men who have been involved an abortion.

But most importantly, we must educate men and women on how to prevent pregnancy. The only 100% sure way is through abstinence and chastity. Stopping promiscuity is the first step in ending the unplanned pregnancy issue and thus ending abortion.
