My name is Nelly and I am a Client Advocate Supervisor for RealOptions, formerly known as CPC (Community Pregnancy Centers). I am excited to announce my new position as Campus Director for the Campus Pregnancy Support Team, an affiliate of RealOptions, located at San José State University. The Campus Pregnancy Support Team (CPST) is a non-political registered student service club, giving us access to the campus and all of the services available to student clubs.

CPST aims to be a resource by college students for college students who are involved with a pregnancy. Club members are knowledgeable on support services available in and around San Jose State University. Examples of services include free pregnancy testing, free ultrasound referrals, and options counseling. By providing education and support through trained client advocates, CPST and RealOptions hope to objectively present the options available in these situations.

Being on campus is a very strategic location; it is an opportunity to reach an underserved population. According to the Guttmacher Institute “one half of all abortions are performed on college age women.” Our desire is to insure the men and women facing these choices can make an informed decision. We offer club membership to any student, male and female, who may be interested in joining this critical work.

1. Serve the cause of Christ on campus.

2. Serve his fellow students

3. Make friends with like minded students

4. Mature in Christ through service

To promote the culture of life and abstinence on campus we are planning on showing the film Maafa 21 to the students at the MLK libary shared by the colledge and the San Jose public.

To learn more about our organization, visit our club website at www.realoptions.net/sjsu.html and our affiliate website at www.realoptions.net.
