Darlene,

On behalf of Alveda, thank you for your wonderful witness and your support of the work I do for the Lord. Never be discouraged as the victory is already won by Jesus on the Cross and His resurrection from the dead. We don't know when victory will be ours here in America but be sure we will have it. All we need to do is our part, pray, keep speaking out against abortion, protest abortion clinics, and witness God's love to those in need, and we will eventually end abortion.

God Bless!

Dear Dr. King, My heart rejoices that the voices are getting louder on this issue. For so long, I feel as if I have been surrounded by those who don't seem to see the wrong in the destruction of life.

With your words, alerts, and responses to what is going on in truth, I take heart and feel renewed to continue to spread the word. My children were all raised with the knowledge that I am against abortion. My eldest is 21 and when I was carrying him, I was 18 and foolish. A friend brought me to Planned Parenthood in Philly and though the nurses were kind and told me there were many options, the counselor I spoke with literally yelled at me that I had to "beg, borrow or steal $500 within the next two weeks". When I asked her what the $500 was for, she told me that it was for the abortion I absolutely should have. Her reasoning? "If you aren't responsible enough to NOT get pregnant, you are certainly not responsible enough to raise a child."

I almost caved.

However, I had my son, I raised my son and I'm proud of the son I have. Though he did have a public education and that undermined everything I ever taught him about morals and God's laws ... I know that I raised him right and that foundation will be the strength God uses to get his attention.

There are so few people who believe my story of Planned Parenthood and what that counselor did/said to me. I was completely distraught when I left that place and worried for years that I was a lousy mother. One statement ... one lousy statement.

May God use you to reach the youth who are being state-raised and state-taught to minimize "other lives". This culture is "all about me" and it reminds me of the Biblical king, Hezekiah in 2 Kings 20:12-19. Hezekiah was warned that because he opened up the treasure house to "show off" what he owned, the country itself would one day be destroyed by the country of his visitors. His response? Good! As long as it doesn't happen during my reign.

America is made up of Hezekiah's.

Hello Maatthew. Sadly, sometimes, it’s not the message, it is the messenger. For instance, if you are Caucasian and you want to share information with a member of the African American ethnic group, you may run into defensive resistance due to residual attitudes that may not have anything to do with how you have ever felt. When African American leaders share the maafa21 message, we run into shock, and anger. I often warn, “be angry and sin not.” Of course, not everyone, no matter what their ethnicity is, will accept the truth, at least not at first. That is where prayer comes in. I truly appreciate your desire to share truth with all who will see or listen. Keep the faith!

Dear Dr King. Responses to your Blog must come from several sources as "Maafa" is not mentioned in them until now. What does one say when giving an African American, Minister or not, a copy of the DVD, "Maafa21" ? I have found success only with whites in accepting the message. One man, a minister after a week with the DVD, I doubt he viewed it, said it was divisive and that getting along was more important. I have printed the entry posted June 23, 2009 at 1048 that is uncategorized that elicits my reply. Perhaps your Blog will help.
