Money Is Not The Answer To Planned Parenthood Double Speak, Prayer Is

Today, two separate campaigns from Planned Parenthood came to our attention. The first is a new brochure put out by the International Planned Parenthood Federation entitled Healthy, Happy and Hot and the other a video made several years back that they took off their site in 2005 entitles A Superhero for Choice. The pro-choice agenda is backed financially by many people, including NGO organizations and our own government using our money.

As a result, PPH keeps producing and distributing deadly propaganda at an alarming rate which at first glance seems hard to counter. Much of what PPH produces is immoral and untrue. On the other hand, the pro-life movement struggles to raise money from individuals and private donors because of lack of access the government funds due to regulatory restrictions. As I read the brochure and viewed the video I prayed that God will provide animators to produce a videos and internet projects to take back territory from the devil – the prince of the power of the air. We need God’s grace, we need resources and money to flood the world and airwaves with the truth about abortion. Yes, there are many good documentaries, books and brochures out there that speak the truth, but their distribution channels pale in comparison to what PPH can do with the backing of, say our government.

Amazon.com just had to pull a very negative sexually offensive project off their website due to public outcry against the graphic child abuse impact of the content. People objected so strongly that the project was cancelled. We need more of this –outcries against the devil’s campaigns.

We have nothing to fear from PPH and these other deadly agendas if we but pray. Prayer is more powerful than all the money the government and pro-abort wealthy individuals can pour into the abortion industry. They may have the backing of the government but we have the backing of God. I’ll take God anytime because money is of this world, whereas our fight is a spiritual battle between good and evil. As Scripture tell us, “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” Ephesians 6:10-12 (NIV) With the backing of Almighty God, we will overcome the evil of abortion.

Today let’s talk about getting rid of the brochure. We’ll address the video on another blog. The brochure is so disturbing in so many ways that it’s hard to know where to begin. First, in an article by C-Fam yesterday, they rightly point out that the brochure is “Aimed at young people with HIV, the brochure contains sexually explicit language and promotes casual sex with multiple partners, as well as oral, anal, and homosexual sex.” Not only is it aimed at young people, but it encourages them to “…find out whether there are any centers near to you where you can go without needing the permission of your parents or guardians.” when discussing “sexual health, like STI tests and advice on condoms and contraceptives” and further says “[y]ou should also make sure that you can trust the staff not to tell anyone you were there or why.” They even change the language from sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) to sexually transmitted infections (STIs) to make it seem that it’s not so bad to get an infection as opposed to getting a disease. The manipulative and deceitful tactics of PPH are offensive to any intelligent person. I found the use of silhouettes of children on this page (16) particularly disturbing as they appear to be 12 or 13 years old, at least to this blogger.

Secondly, they treat sex as if it’s a right that every person has regardless of marital status, sexual orientation or age. Yes, people are capable of having sex, but that doesn’t mean that they should be having sex. PPH encourages young people to explore their sexuality for pleasure’s sake instead as an expression of their love for each other or wanting to start a family in the context of marriage. PPH encourages those that drink and use drugs to “plan ahead by bringing condoms and lube or putting close to where you usually have sex.” Additionally, they promote having an abortion if you become pregnant because “[u]nplanned pregnancies can be stressful for both partners and can strain the relationship…” They say that “Women may have an unplanned pregnancy, even if they and their partner(s) use contraceptives, and may wish to terminate their pregnancy by having a safe abortion.” Isn’t that an oxymoron, safe abortion? Notice the manipulation of language. They may “have an unplanned pregnancy” as if someone gave it to them and they just have it and need to get rid of it because they don’t really need it or want it.

This latest brochure is just one more of many harmful projects PPH is trying to push on our young people. Remember their “What’s Up Down There?” campaign?

There is so much more to discuss regarding this brochure so please check back with us for additional blogs.

In the meantime, remember Romans 12:21, “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” and 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. (emphesis added)
