Fr. Frank Pavone , National Director of Priests for Life, announced this afternoon that the US Supreme Court has accepted the Priests for Life case against HHS mandate.

Six other cases were also granted review by the Court, and they are listed below.

“This is a great day in our battle for religious freedom against the culture of death, which wants us to participate in the spread of abortion. We will not do so, and we look forward to making our case at the Supreme Court,” Fr. Pavone said.

“This is great news that the Court has granted cert in our case against the HHS mandate,” said Robert Muise of the American Freedom Law Center, which represents Priests for Life. “Along with the other cases that have been consolidated along with ours, it is particularly appropriate that Priests for Life has been fighting this mandate, since the very purpose of the organization is to oppose the very activities that the mandate supports, particularly abortion.”

In the Priests for Life case, plaintiffs included, along with the organization, the following people in their individual capacity: Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, Janet Morana, Executive Director of Priests for Life and Co-Founder of the Silent No More Awareness Campaign, and Dr. Alveda King, Director of African-American Outreach for Priests for Life and niece of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

  1. Margaret Robertson says:

    He had a dream,
One day – all black children would be free.
Were they could walk hand in hand,
    Gain justice…for past atrocities.

    Black people,
recognised for their character and deeds.
    Not tread on and crushed,
Kicked to the kerb – like broken weeds!.

I wonder! How he would see us today,
Our culture and dreams being stolen away.
Allowing ourselfs to be fooled – by their lies,
Whilst millions of Our Babies –
    in their mothers wombs…die!!!..

    This man!!!
    had so many enlightened views.
    Ministering to many,
    understood by too few!.

    He sought justice and peace,
    No more famines or wars.
    But the exploitation continues,
    As new horrors unfold!.

    Killing of innocents,
as they lie in the womb.
    Their places of safety,
    Turned into their tombs!.

    Elderly and disabled,
Are next – on their list.
    As with their deaths,
    They now want –
    To legally assist!.

    He had a dream…
where all men could be free!.
    dignity and respect,
    Given to all humanity!.

    Let’s pray!,
    In these troubled days.
    that God helps us all!,
To mend – our evil ways!.
