A community is made up of many members. Each member has a purpose and all members are important in the success of the community.
One may be the mayor of the community while another is the garbage collector. Without the mayor the community would be without a leader and chaos would ensue. Without the garbage collector the city would be filthy and soon rats would overtake the streets.
So it is with the Pro-Life community. We are many but we must work together for the betterment of the whole community. Each one of us has a purpose and all are needed. We have sidewalk counselors that are praying at the abortion mills saving one mother and baby at a time. Those in crisis pregnancy centers are helping one mother at a time to choose life. There are those that work behind the scene making sure the frontline efforts are successful. There are those at the state levels trying to pass this and that legislation to end abortion or bring us one step closer to that end. We have those at the federal level that are doing the same at a federal level. All are important in their own ways and all are needed in full frontal assault on the abortion industry.
We are in a war; a war between good and evil. An army has foot soldiers, infantry, pilots, seamen, etc… Each is important and each has their own role to play in bringing victory. The army is most effective when they work together instead of each try to take the lead as if their way is the only way to obtain victory. And at the head of the army is the Commander in Chief making all the important call as to who gets used when and how.
Again, so it is with the Pro-Life Movement. God is our Commander in Chief. And I believe he is making all the important calls to bring an end to abortion. Some progress is being made in different states. Laws are being introduced and, in some cases, passed that will bring us one step closer to the end of abortion. Although the laws are not outright prohibitions on all abortions, they are a step in the right direction. Such laws include prohibition on fetus 20-22 week gestations due to the fetal pain argument. Others are stricter parental notification laws. Still others restrict medical plans from paying for abortion services. All are important legislation that is bringing us one step closer to ending abortion in America.
We need to stand together. We need to support each other’s causes through prayer, monetary, or volunteerism. Whichever way you can help, you should. Let’s not tear each other down for not doing what we would do. We are all needed and every step, no matter how small, is important as long as it is a step in the right direction.
Praise be to God, our Commander in Chief.
