The Catholic View for Women will tackle sizzling hot topics when its sixth season premieres Sept. 7 on EWTN.

Co-hosts Astrid Bennett Gutierrez, Janet Morana and Teresa Tomeo will give the Catholic View treatment to the transgender movement, same-sex attraction, the lingering damage of the sexual revolution and choosing chastity. Guests also will address street evangelization and how to cope after the death of a teenager.

Intimate Graces: How Practicing the Works of Mercy Bring Out the Best in Marriage, written by Ms. Tomeo and her husband, Deacon Dominick Pastore, will be highlighted in one episode and Father John Riccardo of the Archdiocese of Detroit will be on two episodes to discuss what people in the pews are longing to hear from their priests.

“You don’t want to miss the new season,” said Ms. Bennett Gutierrez, executive director of the Vida Initiative and Los Angeles Pregnancy Services. “Our guests will share moving testimonies of how they are living their faith despite pressures from the Culture — like living chastity or discerning a vocation in a secularized world by young Catholic women, or raising a precious baby with special needs. Women of all ages should tune because they’ll be inspired to find the answers to all of life’s challenges in the splendor of our Catholic faith.”

The show began in 2011 as an antidote to secular women’s shows like “The View,” where, Mrs. Morana notes, the conservative women on the panel and guests who are pro-life or against same-sex marriage are regularly shouted down.

“Shows like that say they are about women and women’s issues, but they rarely delve into topics that matter to real women, and they never talk about the things that matter to Catholic women,” said Mrs. Morana, executive director of Priests for Life and co-founder of the Silent No More Awareness Campaign. “That’s what we specialize in at The Catholic View for Women.”

Catholic media personality Ms. Tomeo concurred: “What I love most about this opportunity to speak to women around the world is that we are able to address at length real issues that impact women but are rarely discussed in the secular culture. Once again will be sharing stories and interviews that are sure to make a difference in our viewers’ knowledge of their faith and they way they apply it to their everyday lives.”

The Catholic View airs at 11 p.m. ET on Wednesdays and is rebroadcast at 10:30 a.m. Fridays.
