Father Frank's Alerts

June 6, 2018

Dear Friends,

You may have missed it in the news, but in recent weeks,

The Supreme Court has given us two victories for the unborn!

First, the justices declined to hear a challenge to a law in Arkansas that deals with chemical abortion. Planned Parenthood sought to overturn a ruling in the U.S. Court of Appeals that allowed the law to be enforced. As a result of the High Court declining to hear the case,

chemical abortion is on hold in Arkansas

-- for the immediate future at least. That is good news.

This week, the Court vacated an Appeals Court decision that allowed an undocumented teen in federal custody to have an abortion. Of course, the young woman already had the abortion so the decision was too late to save her child. But by vacating the order, pro-abortion attorneys in the ACLU and other firms can’t point to the decision as precedent the next time a pregnant minor in the country illegally seeks an abortion.

And now we continue waiting and praying about a very important case that will be decided in the coming weeks and may also be a victory for life. NIFLA vs. Becerra is a case that defends pregnancy centers against unjust laws that try to force them to tell their clients where they can get abortions.

These pregnancy centers exist to save lives and provide alternatives to abortion,

-- not to help people kill their children. This case defends these centers against forced speech and cooperation in the evil of abortion. The case was introduced by our friends and colleagues at NIFLA, the National Institute of Family and Life Advocates, led by Tom Glessner.

We must keep praying for victor in this crucial case!

I have asked you before to pray the “Prayer for the Victory of Life and Freedom,” and I’m asking you now to keep praying, more fervently than ever, that NIFLA wins its case. The ruling could impact pregnancy centers all over the country.

ongoing prayer campaign.

Please act today, and please pass along this email to as many others you know who may be interested.

And thank you for being part of the Priests for Life Family!

Sincerely,
