As you know, Pope Benedict XVI will
be stepping down from his responsibilities on February 28.
I am going to Rome on the 20th for a
series of meetings which will conclude with a Papal audience.
I
would like to bring with me your prayers and good wishes for the Pope.
Please send me your message of thanks
to Pope Benedict for all he has done for the Church, and to promise him your
prayers.
And
please pray for the Cardinals who will choose the next Pope.

I have composed for the election of Pope Benedict's successor.
Please

list to likewise send their good wishes to the Pope and to say the prayer for
the election of the new Pope.
The Lord chooses human beings to
carry out these divine responsibilities. Like you and me, they appreciate all
the help they can get. I assure you, they will be encouraged and strengthened
