In the days leading up to Pentecost, the disciples prayed for the coming of the Holy Spirit. We too pray for his coming, and for his power that renews the face of the earth and brings about the victory of life.

Holy Spirit,
At the dawn of creation,
You brought order out of chaos,
Light out of darkness,
Life out of nothingness.
Breathe on us once again,
And change this culture of death
Into a Culture of Life.
Inspire in your people
A spirit of generous welcome
For each and every life,
No matter how unexpected or dependent
That life may be.
Holy Spirit,
You are the Advocate.
As you fill us with Yourself,
Make us advocates
For the unborn and all the vulnerable,
Until we are all united
In the endless life and joy
of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit,
One God, forever and ever. Amen.

Thank you, Fr. Frank. I am a charismatic Catholic and just recently became aware of this Novena. I will be participating at my parish, in my home, at the Northern California Charismatic convention and during worship at my local International House of Prayer (IHOP). My heart is for people across the entire Body of Christ to all begin annually crying out for more of His Spirit to come in prayer and worship during this 9 day prayer focus. How beautiful would it be if we UNITED to call for UNITY and for His Presence to fill our world as at the first Pentecost. With more of Him and all His infinite, good attributes, how much more likely would it be for ugliness, such as abortion to come to an end. No matter how hard we try to stand up for God’s way if we try to do it in our power, without HIM, we will make no progress. Yes, Come HOly Spirit!!! God bless you for all you do.

Frank,i am a Catholic in Malaysia…thank you for publishing this pentecost Novena Prayer…i just found out this novena today,but for this coming pentecost,few days later,i will pray this novena with all my heart…may God Ignite the fire of his Holy Spirit in each and every heart in this world…may God Blessing Be With Us always…Amen.
