Staten Island, NY – Fr. Frank Pavone today said that the North Carolina legislature’s override of Governor Beverly Perdue’s veto of the Women’s Right to Know Act will save babies from being aborted.
“On the same day that the North Carolina Senate voted to provide women with valuable information about abortion before they undergo the procedure, the state of Minnesota released statistics showing that its own informed consent law has saved lives,” stated Fr. Pavone. “North Carolinians should rejoice that their legislators have voted to increase the chances that mothers will choose life for their babies.”

Adult stem-cell research is nothing new. It has been going on for decades, and in fact has proven helpful in treating various diseases. In the process of this research, nobody has to be killed in order to obtain the stem cells.
Embryonic stem cell research, on the other hand, only began in 1998, and does involve killing a new human life in order to obtain the cells. The number of diseases that have been successfully treated with embryonic stem cells is zero. They have shown no medical benefit, and even if they did, such activity is immoral. The end does not justify the means.
Adult stem cells have treated various forms of leukemia, sickle cell disease, anemia, and carcinoma. Embryonic stem cells have succeeded in nothing.
LeRoy Carhart has been in the business of murdering late-term babies for decades.
States and cities have passed laws specifically to keep his particular brand of butchery outside their borders. When he slipped into Maryland, the state with the fewest restrictions on abortion, only pro-lifers noticed. That will begin to change this weekend.
I will deliver the keynote address Saturday at 7 p.m. as the Summer of Mercy 2.0 kicks off. Organized by Operation Rescue, the aim of the nine-day protest outside the abortion mill where Carhart performs late-term abortions, and in various locations nearby, is to make it impossible for his neighbors, and Maryland officials, to ignore what goes on behind those closed doors.
As we have pointed out before, Carhart conducts his risky late-term abortions in Maryland without having hospital privileges. This means that if a patient needs emergency help due to a botched abortion, he has nowhere to take her. This is a violation of medical ethics and safe practice procedures. That’s why he is under investigation by the Maryland Board of Physicians. And that’s why pro-lifers in Maryland and around the country are determined to shut him down.
Take part in the Summer of Mercy 2.0 and send an unequivocal message that murderers like Carhart will not be tolerated in our midst.
The kickoff rally and keynote address will take place at 7 p.m. Saturday, July 30, at Covenant Life Church, 7501 Muncaster Mill Road, Gaithersburg, Md. Also speaking will be Wendy Wright of Concerned Women of America.

Do you know someone who has been hurt by abortion, and who wants to do something to keep others from experiencing the same hurt?
If so, please tell them about the Silent No More Awareness Campaign.
Coordinated by Priests for Life and Anglicans for Life, this campaign gives women and men an opportunity to share with others the fact that abortion hurt them. We hold healing services and public educational events. Participants hold signs saying “I regret my abortion” or “I regret lost fatherhood.”
The campaign gives them a loving and confidential network of others who have been through the same pain, and have found healing in Jesus Christ. The effort is interdenominational. Find out more information on our website, silentnomoreawareness.org
Parents deserve better choices than abortion.
Staten Island, NY – Fr.Frank Pavone today paid tribute to Archbishop Pietro Sambi, Apostolic Nuncio to the United States, who passed away last night at the age of 73.
“On behalf of our entire Priests for Life team, I want to express gratitude for the work that the Archbishop did in being the Holy Father’s representative in the United States. In addition to his many responsibilities, which he carried out with great fidelity and joy, he also followed our work with great interest. In the conversations I had with him regularly at the US bishops’ meetings, he was always a great encouragement. At certain critical moments of our growth, he provided direct assistance and guidance to protect and strengthen our ministry,” Fr. Pavone explained.
Archbishop Sambi was also responsible for the regional human rights organization for all of North and South America, the Organization of American States (OAS). He recognized the promotion of the culture of death by radical activists at the OAS and was assisted in his efforts to not only monitor but counter pro-abortion actions by Priests for Life/Gospel of Life Ministries.
From the beginning of the Church, God’s people have been blessed by the ministry of deacons. The word deacon means “servant,” and a deacon serves the Church by proclaiming God’s word and carrying out various works of charity in the community. The deacon, therefore, is called to proclaim the Gospel of Life and to witness to the Church’s concern for the poorest of the poor, the unborn children.
A powerful new movement serving the least among us is Deacons in the Service of Life. This is a pro-life effort brought about through Priests for Life, and helping deacons to preach, counsel, and mobilize their parishes for pro-life activity. Many deacons feel a special calling for pro-life work, and some want to do it on a full-time basis. For more information, visit priestsforlife.org.
The rosary is, without doubt, one of the greatest devotions in history to be embraced by the Church, and it is a devotion strongly embraced by the pro-life movement. This is so for good reasons, because in the Hail Mary we praise a mother, and we worship the fruit of her womb. Our salvation began because a mother said yes to the life within her!
In the rosary we also say, “Pray for US sinners.” We don’t point the finger at others, but rather at ourselves. We know that sin is in the world, but we start by repenting of the sin within us. The pro-life movement is in fact a movement of repentance, of admitting we haven’t done enough. That is the best way to rebuild the Culture of Life.

Orlando, FL – On this past Thursday, July 21, Fr. Pavone preached at a memorial service for an aborted baby girl. The child was intact and her body was retrieved after a late-term abortion. The memorial service, organized by Operation Save America, was held outside of City Hall in Orlando.
“We are here because this baby was killed in the darkness, and we come to honor her in the bright light of day,” Fr. Pavone declared in his remarks. “The abortion industry wants to hide the violence done to these children, but we must be committed to expose it. Therefore we need to hold many more of these services, with tens of thousands of people looking at these children and recommitting themselves to end abortion.”
During the service, the name “Esther” was given to the child.
Fr. Frank invited any pro-life activists who obtain the remains of aborted children to be in contact with him to arrange for a proper wake service and burial.
Dr. Alveda King, full-time pastoral associate of Priests for Life, has been helping to lead the National Black Pro-Life Coalition. Various groups in this coalition have been undertaking creative activities to get the pro-life message out to the Black community and beyond. Some stirring videos have been released online by the coalition, and activists can help spread these videos which expose the alarmingly high rate of abortion in the Black community.
Billboards have also caused a stir, indicating that Black children are an endangered species. Abortion supporters are enraged at these messages, and they are just going to have to get used to it. Through the work of Dr. Alveda King, Priests for Life will continue to turn up the volume by supporting these efforts. For info, visit priestsforlife.org.
The case with 107 charges, including 23 felonies, against Planned Parenthood of Kansas and Mid-Missouri is moving forward. Planned Parenthood broke various laws regarding late-term abortions and violated state record keeping laws. The corrupt organization also manufactured documents to cover up their crimes.
Priests for Life has been exposing this corruption since 1993. Keep in mind that fraud of all kinds, and disregard for every type of law, is standard practice in the abortion industry. You cannot practice vice virtuously. When your conscience is so darkened that you will kill a child, you’ll do anything else as well. That’s the case with Planned Parenthood, and the spotlight on its corruption is becoming brighter. To focus on this will weaken the largest abortion business and help save lives.
