Houston abortionist killing babies born alive – Press Release

Thursday, May 16th, 2013

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Father Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, announced this afternoon that Priests for Life has launched a project to expose Texas abortionist Douglas Karpen, and the evidence that he is killing babies born alive, and violating numerous other laws. We are calling for a full-scale investigation by Texas state authorities.

“The Harris County, Texas, District Attorney has already opened an investigation; we are sending out an action alert to the Attorney General to take swift and thorough action until this abortionist is stopped,” Fr. Frank explained.

“As we have said, Kermit Gosnell is not the exception in the abortion industry; he is the norm. As we have seen countless cases in the past, we expect to see many more in the future. And each of them should prompt us all to action.

“Priests for Life is working in partnership with Life Dynamics and Operation Rescue on highlighting the atrocities being committed in Karpen’s clinic and elsewhere. We have set up the web site TexasGosnell.com to provide vital information about the ongoing investigation and how people can support it.”

The investigation was prompted by video testimony from three of Karpen’s former employees, who describe the truly horrific conditions at the clinic and the brutal murders of newborn babies there.

Today’s Pro-Life Reflection

These reflections are taken from the book “Pro-Life Reflections for Every Day” by Fr. Frank Pavone which is available for purchase at: ProLifeReflectionsForEveryDay.org

“The blind man said to him, ‘Rabbi, let me receive my sight’” Mark 10:51.

Reflection: People change when they see abortion. One wrote, “I was horrified by the gallery of photos of those tiny innocents – murdered, but I’m glad to have seen them. No one can truly form an opinion on abortion without seeing the horror. I had no idea the practice was so brutal.”

Prayer: Lord, sometimes it is only when we see evil that we are able to fully appreciate the good. Give your people courage to face the evils around us, that we may have greater strength to fight them in Your Name. Amen.

Minister Martin Luther King, Jr. preaching at an event

These reflections are taken from the book “Pro-Life Reflections for Every Day” by Fr. Frank Pavone which is available for purchase at: ProLifeReflectionsForEveryDay.org

“The authorities are God’s servants, and they devote themselves to this service.” (Romans 13:6)

Reflection: As Martin Luther King Jr. said, the law cannot get the white man to love me, but it can stop him from lynching me. Laws restrain evildoing. They also have power to shape minds and hearts. When our children learn in school that something is legal, they are learning that such a thing is right.Whether regarding abortion or anything else, both hearts and laws must be changed.

Prayer: Father, give us a healthy respect for the power of law, and a Spirit-filled determination to shape law according to your will. Amen.

Life Dynamics EXCLUSIVE interview with abortion clinic workers

Tuesday, May 14th, 2013

lifedynamicAbortion clinic employee: “the fetus would come completely out and of course, the fetus would still be alive..” and  “ I’m talking about the whole floor dirty. I’m talking about me drenched in blood.”

Today, Life Dynamics Inc. a national pro-life organization located in Denton, Texas, has released an interview with three former abortion clinic workers which prove the Pennsylvania abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell, recently convicted of murder, is not an anomaly.

The interview was conducted on May 3, 2013 with clinic employees located in a different state.

Mark Crutcher, President of Life Dynamics: “While the pro-life movement claims that abortion takes the life of a living human being, nobody on earth knows that better than the people who work at abortion clinics.  The lofty rhetoric of “choice” may insulate those who work in the political and public relations arena, but the day-to-day reality for those who provide those “choices” is to deal with the corpses and parts of corpses they pull out of their customers’ bodies. “

exclusive

Abortion clinic employee, “ I thought, well, it’s an abortion you know, that’s what he does, but I wasn’t aware that it was illegal…Most of the time we would see him where the fetus would come completely out and of course, the fetus would still be alive..”

“He does a lot of huge abortions. A lot of the times, we would bring the big fetus that were over age, we would re-open the bag and just look at it and be like, ‘Oh my gosh, it’s so big!’”

“Sometimes he couldn’t get the fetus out. He would yank pieces – piece by piece – when they were oversize. And I’m talking about the whole floor dirty. I’m talking about me drenched in blood.”

What we have witnessed in the Gosnell case and here in our video is the nature of the beast.

Simply put, this is Abortion!

Crutcher continues, “During Gosnell’s trial, it became clear that organizations like Planned Parenthood, the National Abortion Federation, and others within the pro-choice community were fully aware of what Gosnell was doing.  But they kept quiet because this was a rock they did not want the public looking under. What they knew, and wanted to keep hidden, was that everything being done at this abortion clinic was within the standard operating procedures for every other abortion clinic in the country. So they, and their lapdogs in the media, started whistling past the graveyard.”

The evidence continues to mount!

Life Dynamics was founded as a non-profit pro-life organization in 1992 by Mark Crutcher.  Life Dynamics has gained a trusted reputation for ongoing research into the abortion industry.

Heaven_and_Earth

These reflections are taken from the book “Pro-Life Reflections for Every Day” by Fr. Frank Pavone which is available for purchase at: ProLifeReflectionsForEveryDay.org

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.” (Genesis 1:1-2)

Reflection: The Spirit of God brought life and light out of chaos and darkness. The Holy Spirit is “the Lord and Giver of Life,” and this is true both on a natural and supernatural level. To worship the Holy Spirit, then, demands that we stand against all that destroys life.

Prayer: Holy Spirit, breathe on us and renew within us the fullness of life and the strength to defend it. Amen!

Fr. Pavone: Right to choose must yield to right to life

Monday, May 13th, 2013

STATEN ISLAND, NY — Father Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, had the following comment on the verdict in the Kermit Gosnell trial:

“The guilty verdict on charges of killing babies following abortion shows that the law recognizes a point at which the ‘right to choose’ must yield to the right to life, and also shows that abortionists don’t know where that point is. Such laws must be strengthened in every state.”

Note: the babies in this case have been given names by Priests for Life and more information on that can be found here: www.priestsforlife.org/library/4620-naming-the-gosnell-babies.

“Gosnell’s guilty verdict in the death of Karnamaya Mongar is different. Gosnell didn’t slit her neck but he did create conditions that caused her death. And Mongar is not the only mother harmed or killed in the hundreds of dangerous, unregulated, legal abortion clinics across our country. There are hundreds of Gosnells and they have to be stopped.

“The lessons to be learned from this case, and the actions that should follow upon it, are largely independent of the verdict rendered today. Those lessons and actions are summarized in my public statement about the case. http://www.priestsforlife.org/blog/index.php/statement-of-fr-frank-pavone-as-we-await-verdict-in-gosnell-trial#respond

Janet Morana, executive director of Priests for Life and co-founder of the Silent  No More Awareness Campaign, also commented on Gosnell’s conviction in the death of Karnamaya Mongar:

“On behalf of the many women who have died and the countless numbers of women who have been physically injured in abortion clinics across our nation, and whose abortionists have not been brought to justice, I applaud the jury for recognizing that what happened to Karnamaya Mongar was not an accident.  Justice for Karnamaya provides a measure of justice for all women harmed by abortion. The abortion procedure kills a child, sometimes kills a mother and is always  damaging to women. This product called abortion should be recalled by the government.”

Dr. Alveda King, director of African-American Outreach for Priests for Life, said of the guilty verdicts:

“Justice was served with these verdicts, but injustice will continue unless we end abortion in this country. Gosnell was not the only abortionist who killed newborn babies and their mothers, he was just the one who got caught. Now we have to turn out attention to charging, trying and convicting others like him.”

Father Pavone said Priests for Life continues to pray for Ms. Mongar and her family, for Dr. Gosnell and for all involved in the case.

Priests for Life is the nation’s largest Catholic pro-life organization dedicated to ending abortion and euthanasia. For more information, visit www.priestsforlife.org.

LDS_Jesus_Christ

These reflections are taken from the book “Pro-Life Reflections for Every Day” by Fr. Frank Pavone which is available for purchase at: ProLifeReflectionsForEveryDay.org

“There is one mediator between God and man, Christ Jesus, himself a man” (1 Timothy 2:5).

Reflection: Jesus is humanity’s only mediator with God precisely because he is both God and human, and his humanity comes from Mary. All her importance flows from her Son, and our worship of the Son naturally leads to honoring his mother. Marian devotion teaches us something about our pro-life commitment. Mother and child belong together. To hurt one is to hurt the other; to love one is to love the other.

Prayer: Mary, thank you for being the mother of Jesus, who now shares our humanity. Teach us to honor every mother and child. Amen.

These reflections are taken from the book “Pro-Life Reflections for Every Day” by Fr. Frank Pavone which is available for purchase at: ProLifeReflectionsForEveryDay.org

“A notion of freedom which…gives no place to solidarity … ends up by becoming the freedom of ‘the strong’ against the weak” –The Gospel of Life, 19.
Reflection: Cardinal Meisner of Germany compared the slaughter of tens of millions of unborn children by abortion to the genocide campaigns conducted by Hitler and Stalin. Whenever a government removes equal protection from some human beings, it is an insult to all human beings. The class of victims may change, but the evil is the same.
Prayer: Deliver us from evil, O Lord. Preserve world governments from corruption and make them havens for human rights. Amen.
