ExposeAbortion.com effort launched in response to Supreme Court decision

“Obviously, the Supreme Court decision in Whole Woman’s Health vs. Hellerstedt demonstrates that not enough people know and care about the fact that the abortion industry is an unscrupulous, unregulated industry that cares no more for women than for the children it kills and throws away,”

Priests for Life Statement re: Decision in Whole Woman’s Health vs. Hellerstedt

TX SCOTUS 11

The Supreme Court is now the Supreme Medical Board, setting its own standards for patient care in the United States.  This decision is an outrageous usurpation of legislative power and it only underscores the critical importance of electing a President who will nominate — and Senators who will confirm — justices to the Supreme Court who will adjudicate, not write the law.

Today’s Pro-life Reflection: Future of Humanity

children-479692_960_720

“Although faith provides special light and strength, this question arises in every human conscience which seeks the truth and which cares about the future of humanity” – EV 101

Reflection: Jesus, the Bible, and the Church teach that stealing is wrong. Therefore, do the laws that prohibit stealing impose a religious belief on the rest of us? Of course not. But some argue that a law protecting the unborn would impose religion. They think freedom of religion should allow child-killing.

Prayer: Lord, you have blessed human conscience with the ability to perceive that killing children is wrong. Increase the moral strength of your people, that this evil may end. Amen.

Priests for Life calls for prayer for victory in Texas abortion case

TexasAbortion

“Prayer is at the core of the pro-life effort, and this case is no exception. This case, moreover, has the potential of protecting countless women and children from abortionists who are so unqualified as not to be able to get hospital admitting privileges, and from clinics whose standards cannot measure up to those of ambulatory surgical facilities,”

Today’s Pro-life Reflection: Healing Programs and Pro-Life Activism

healing comes

“Go home to your family and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you” (Mark 5:19)

Reflection:
Do post-abortion healing programs and pro-life activism mix? Countless women and men say yes. Many activists, of course, have had abortions. They speak up for the children they once killed — and that is part of the healing. Many of those in need of healing begin that journey because their conscience is stirred by those who expose the reality of abortion.

Prayer: Lord, you inspire those who have found your healing to carry out your mission. Give fruitfulness to their words and words! Amen.

Today’s Pro-life Reflection: God is with us

HoldingHandsbaby

“And they shall name him Emmanuel, a name that means ‘God is with us'” Matthew 1:23.

Reflection: In the midst of the abortion tragedy, the Church does not point fingers of condemnation. Rather, the Church extends hands of compassion and help, to lift up out of despair those who are tempted to abort their children. The Church informs her people of the many alternatives to abortion, and says “I am with you, and will enable you to say yes to life.”

Prayer: Lord, so many are tempted to abort because they feel alone. May we reach out to them, that they may know that we and you are with them. Amen

Where Wisdom Lies

Fr. Frank Pavone with Troy NewmanTroy Newman and I have worked closely together for many years as colleagues in national pro-life leadership. We have collaborated on many projects, including behind the scenes advice and encouragement on many undercover projects, including the most recent one of Planned Parenthood. Troy is completely committed to the principles at the foundation of our movement, including that of non-violence. Those who see him as an enemy do so not because he is some kind of violent fanatic, but precisely because he is effective at what he does, namely, researching the weaknesses of the abortion industry and then using the legal system to make them accountable for their unscrupulous and dangerous practices.

Troy is not being allowed in Australia not because there’s something wrong with him, but because there’s something wrong with those who are denying him entrance. And we’ve seen this pattern in other countries too. What tremendous tolerance these governments show to viewpoints and activities that might rip the mask off their mindless devotion to keeping the status quo on the greatest holocaust of human history.

Added to the completely baseless blocking of his international travel is the attempt to prevent him from traveling within the United States. That is simply outrageous, and an immediate correction and apology is needed on the part of whoever made that attempt. The Australian government, needless to say, has no jurisdiction here. Moreover, the American authorities have some explaining to do when they start limiting the movement of their own citizens. And those of us in pro-life leadership will be particularly vigilant regarding any attempt to limit our freedom because some people give too much credence to the smears and slanders that are regularly leveled against us because of our role in leading the movement against abortion. I know what those smears are like, having been the object of public protests organized by sitting government officials, leaders of Planned Parenthood, NARAL, Catholics for Choice, and other groups who have accused me of fostering violence.

But as the Lord said, time will prove where wisdom lies.

Watch Fr. Frank’s stirring Sermon at National Prayer Service

15-01-2470-memorial

It was the day of the March for Life in Washington, DC. The historic Constitution Hall was the gathering place for clergy and believers from dozens of denominations: Lutheran bishops, Anglican bishops, Catholic priests, Baptist pastors, Pentecostal ministers, and many more.

The event was the National Prayer Service, the premier pro-life prayer event surrounding the anniversary of Roe vs. Wade.

I was privileged to deliver the sermon. Many told me it was my best so far. I gave some key principles to anchor our pro-life activism in the coming year.

Please watch it here and pass it along!

And let me know what you think!

Blessing,

Fr. Frank Pavone

Fr. Frank Pavone Cheers Supreme Court’s McCullen v. Coakley Decision – “A Victory for Free Speech”

Staten Island, NY – Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, applauded today’s unanimous Supreme Court decision declaring Massachusetts’s law prohibiting pro-lifers from coming within 35 feet of an abortion clinic to be unconstitutional.

“The bubble zone of government imposed silence around abortion clinics has burst,” Fr. Pavone declared.  “Today’s decision is a huge rip in the veil with which the abortion lobby has tried to cloak the truth about what abortion is and what abortion does to women.  And the truth is that abortion destroys lives – physically and emotionally.

“The Supreme Court has struck a victory for free speech, for the Constitution, and for women and their babies.”

Fr. Pavone added, “I was happy to speak with Eleanor McCullen the other night in regard to this case and look forward to continuing to stand with her and so many other activists around the country who go to these abortion facilities day in and day out.

Alveda King, niece of the Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. and full-time director of African American Outreach for Priests for Life, stated, “It was wrong for governments to protect segregationists who denied the rights of others and denied the truth of equality.  It’s wrong for governments today to protect abortionists who deny the rights of babies and deny the truth about abortion to women.  The truth will not be ‘bubbled out.’  Let my people go!”

Bryan Kemper, Priests for Life Youth Outreach Director, said of today’s ruling, “The SCOTUS decision to strike down the Massachusetts bubble zone is a victory with great impact for pro-life youth. More and more youth are joining the fight to end abortion every day and outreach to abortion mills is an important aspect of this battle.”

Priests for Life will issue a more detailed statement about this decision after having analyzed it more fully.

Today’s Pro-Life Reflection

inhisimage

This reflection is taken from my book Pro-Life Reflections for Every Day, which is available for purchase at: ProLifeReflectionsForEveryDay.org

“God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.” (Genesis 1:26)

Reflection: It is only of God that the word “create” is used, because only he is the one who can bring life out of nothing. The sanctity of life has its root in the unique relationship that human beings have with their Creator. Life is sacred because it comes from God, belongs to God, and returns to God.

Prayer: Thank you, Father of Life, for creating me. Thank you for creating every human being, born and unborn, healthy and sick. Thank you for life. Amen.
