ELECTION VIDEO: Cardinal stresses that Right to Life is issue number one!

Without the protection of the right to life, no other discussion of human rights can continue.

So declared Cardinal Renato Martino in an interview I conducted with him about politics and elections.

As we approach Election Day, some – even within the Church – will distort and hide the fact that the Church (and commonsense, by the way) make it crystal clear that the right to life is the most foundational good to preserve in any election.

Without life, we don’t have anything.

Can you imagine a candidate saying, “I support terrorism” and a voter replying, “I disagree with you on terrorism, but what’s your health care plan?’

No. The supporter of terrorism would be dismissed as unworthy of public office.

So should the supporter of abortion.

Now, it’s not just you saying that. By using this video at www.FrFranksBlog.com, it will be the Cardinal saying it!

So I ask you to do the following:

1) Click here to watch the video on Youtube.
2) Post this message on your Facebook account.
3) Tweet this message to your Twitter followers.
4) Place this message on your blog and/or website.
5) Bring this message to the attention of your pastor and invite him to quote the Cardinal as he preaches to the people in these days before the Election!

Thank you for all you are doing to advance the protection of life. Nothing is more important.

Fr. Frank Pavone
National Director

I agree with His Eminence wholeheartedly!!! God bless him & keep him safe always.
Without life, there is nothing; there is no point to any other issue if life itself is not respected, honored and protected. Any candidate in any election must, first and foremost, uphold this basic LAW OF GOD.
Anything less than this is completely intolerable. It just scares me to think of what will happen to this country, after the election, if Obama wins. Even Romney, with his Catholic running mate, comes up short…but is this the lesser of two evils? The only choice open to loyal practicing Catholics?!?

Blessed Virgin Mary be with us, have Mercy, help all your children understand righ t from wrong. Help those who walk in darkness witness and exawperience Gods love….and move from the dark and know His radiant love.

If you could embed his words into the video, to read along as he speaks, that would help others, like myself, understand all he has to say.

Other Christians may give their opinion, whereas, a knowledgeable Catholic Christian does not have an opinion. He or she is a disciple of Jesus Christ (other Christians are also), a student of the Church. All that God revealed is in the Church, and we have promised to accept all that God revealed to the Church, otherwise, it would be blasphemy, the Unpardonable Sin, attributing to Satan what is the work of the Holy Spirit (Matthew 12:31 and its footnote in the NAB). The Church has all the Truth (1 Timothy 3:15). In 2000 years, the Church has never been wrong on any Faith and Morals.

Therefore, trust in God, just as Jesus directed: Return and become like little children who are completely dependent on their parents. This is how a disciple is to be with respect to God (Matthew 18:2-3, and its footnote in the NAB). We are not politicians. As citizens, our involvement in society is limited to working (diligently), loving (earnestly) God and our neighbor, voting for God (always) and defending our country. So, trust in God, do these things, and watch God ruling through His Pro-Life people. God bless.
