Government is to “Serve” and “Protect” Human Rights

The best response to the ongoing health care reform issue in our country is to prepare for the November elections. When office holders refuse to carry out the will of the people then the people should refuse to extend their stay in office.

Many are concerned that the government is trying to take too much control of people’s lives. The abortion issue touches on the same problem, because when the government declares that someone, like the unborn child, is a non-person, then that government has taken control of their lives to the point of taking their lives altogether.

Limited government starts with the principle that government exists to serve and protect human rights, not to give them, take them away, or edit them. That’s why abortion can never be permitted by the law.
