Join Us in Praying a Novena to St. Gerard Majella

The Feast of St. Gerard Majella is approaching. He is the patron saint of pregnant mothers, of childbirth, and of unborn children.

Priests for Life invites you to join a special novena in his honor. You can download a prayer to St. Gerard at our web site and send us any prayer intentions you have for couples who are seeking to conceive a child, or for women having difficult pregnancies, for those who have lost children, or who have special prayer intentions for their living children.

All of our priests will remember those intentions during this novena, leading up to St. Gerard’s feast day on October 16th.

Many miracles have been worked through the intercession of St. Gerard, especially in regard to pregnancy and childbirth. Please join the St. Gerard Majella novena, found at priestsforlife.org.

When my daughter in law became pregnant in 2011, she was told very early in her pregnancy that there may be a problem and the large medical group she was with suggested an abortion. My son, knowing how I felt about abortion called me to let me know. My response to him was not to worry, that everything would be fine. I immediately researched the Saint to whom I should begin praying and I learned about Saint Gerard. I began a novena and continued my prayers. Our granddaughter was born healthy, but seven weeks early. I doubled my prayers and vowed to Saint Gerard that I would begin to hand out his medals to all mothers in need of his intercessions. I sent a card to the NICU to thank them and included some Saint Gerard medals for them. Today, my granddaughter is a healthy, loving smart little girl. I know that we have God to thank and the intersessions of Saint Gerard.
