Today’s Pro-Life Reflection

This reflection is taken from my book Pro-Life Reflections for Every Day, which is available for purchase at: ProLifeReflectionsForEveryDay.org

“The Lord said to me: ‘Son of man … confront them with their detestable practices, for …blood is on their hands …they even sacrificed their children, whom they bore” (Ezekiel 23:36-37).

Reflection: The pro-life movement did not begin with Roe vs. Wade. It began the first time a human being extended his hand to help another. It continued as Old Testament prophets preached against child sacrifice, and as Christians in the Roman Empire rescued abandoned infants. It continues today in the lives of so many. And it will be victorious, just as surely as Christ is Risen!
Prayer: Keep us standing, Lord, in the great tradition of life! Amen.
