“From the beginning you have heard the message that we should love one another, unlike Cain who was from the evil one and slew his brother” (1 John 3:11-12).
Reflection: When an unborn child is diagnosed with a terminal illness, some feel justified in aborting the child. The excuse they use is that he or she “will die anyway.” But we will all die anyway. Since when does our mortality make us disposable? Since when is the inevitability of death a justification to kill?
Prayer: Lord, teach us that the beauty of life is not measured in days or years, but in the love we give and receive. Amen.
