Find out on premiere of season 3 of “The Catholic View for Women”
Co-hosts Janet Morana, Teresa Tomeo and Astrid Bennett-Gutierrez will discuss the findings of a recent survey on “What Catholic Women Think About Faith, Conscience, and Contraception,” by Women, Faith, and Culture.
“It seems like someone is always speaking for Catholic women, but this survey actually asked church-going Catholic women their opinions on a variety of issues. The answers may surprise you,” said Mrs. Morana, executive director of Priests for Life, co-founder of the Silent No More Awareness Campaign and author of “Recall Abortion.”
Future episodes will tackle a wide variety of topics, including: Making the switch from contraception to Natural Family Planning; Catholic and divorced; Body image blues, and Hispanic women, catechesis and the Church.
“What is unique about our program is our constant effort to produce shows based on specific requests from our viewers,” said Ms. Tomeo, a motivational speaker, host of the popular radio show “Catholic Connection” and author of several books, including “God’s Bucket List” to be released next month by Image Books. “We ask for their input and then pull together those comments to see what topics of interest come up most often and the feedback is how we form our show line up. That’s why women are responding so strong and positively to this show as it really addresses what is on their hearts and minds.”
The first show will air only once. Subsequent episodes will be on at 11 p.m. ET on Wednesdays, and will be re-broadcast at 10:30 a.m. on Fridays on EWTN. For information about the show, go to www.TheCatholicViewforWomen.com
“I’m excited about the new shows and topics that I am sure will speak to the hearts of our viewers,” said Ms. Bennett-Gutierrez, president of Hispanics for Life, executive director of Los Angeles Pregnancy Services and vice president of Hispanics for Life and Human Rights. “As we continue in this year of faith, we hope they will find encouragement in their faith and clarity on the moral issues under assault today. No matter what our vocation, we are all called to be apostles of His love and truth!”
