It is odd to think the comparison of violence of flesh, and violence of a story is valid. We have much less of a chance against evil in a heavenly battle. God, Satan, and Michael are not supernatural beings apart from one another. God is the unchanging point which unifies all that comes after and below within an abiding and providentially-ordained rational hierarchy - St Augustine. God is, was, and will be everything. The "Battle" is in one's own mind. When one takes ownership of his own soul, only then can one enter the battle. We can pray for others' souls, but we cannot redeem them. Winning other minds cannot necessarily win others' souls. That is not in our realm. We are but a pitiful speck of God's goodness. Our recklessness with our tiny piece of God's love determines how long our souls are to be in our own purgatory. I understand your fight, Father, but Michael vs. Satan is an ongoing event.
