This Little Prayer of Mine
by Anthony DeStefano

Because I’m a priest, young couples often approach me to ask for tips on
what they can do to instill in their children a deep and lasting love for
God. My answer is always the same: Teach them to pray and make sure you pray
with them every day! And I can think of no better tool to help parents do
that than Anthony DeStefano’s wonderful new book, This Little Prayer of
Mine
. I wholeheartedly recommend this book to anyone who wants to help a
young boy or girl develop a loving relationship with the Lord
Fr. Frank Pavone,
National Director, Priests for Life
This Little Prayer of Mine by Anthony DeStefano, Vice Chairman of the Board
for Priests for Life, will be published Feb. 16 by WaterBrook Press, a
division of Random House.
DeStefano is the best-selling author of the adult religious bestsellers,
A
Travel Guide to Heaven (Doubleday, 2003) and
Ten Prayers God Always Says Yes
To, (Doubleday, 2007).
This Little Prayer of Mine is his first children’s book but, like his work
for adult readers, aims to present complex theological issues in ways
everyone can understand. His hope is that his new book will help even the
youngest children develop a rich prayer life that will sustain them as they
grow older and face tough challenges.
A native New Yorker, DeStefano has been working with Father Frank Pavone for
20 years. Although he ordinarily prefers to remain behind the scenes,
DeStefano’s work has helped fuel the steady growth of the Priests for Life,
which is now one of the largest and best-known pro-life organizations in the
world.
His new book has earned the official endorsement of the National Day of
Prayer; entertainers Pat and Shirley Boone; Bernice King, daughter of Dr
Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King, Danae Dobson, daughter of
Rev. James and Shirley Dobson, and Teresa Tomeo, the well-known EWTN radio
show host.
This Little Prayer of Mine is available through Amazon.com and bookstores
everywhere.
