Augustinian to give lecture on 'American Holocaust'
CHESTER, Md. - A member of Priests for Life will lecture on "The American
Holocaust" on April 27 at St. Christopher Church, 1861 Harbor Drive. Father
Walter Quinn, a member of the Augustinian Province of St. Thomas of Villanova in
Villanova, Pa., will compare an "anti-life movement" in the United States and in
Germany over a 150-year span. He will answer questions following the 7:30 p.m.
lecture. Father Quinn also will speak at the 6 p.m. mass April 28, and 8 a.m.
and 10:30 a.m. masses April 29 at St. Dennis Church, 153 N. Main St. in
Galena. He will give a lecture in the parish hall after the 10:30 Mass.
Admission to both lectures is free.
Father Quinn, from Philadelphia, has been an Augustinian priest for 40 years.
He served at churches in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York and was hospital
chaplain in Philadelphia and Atlantic City, N.J.
He joined Priests for Life in September 1999. He is a member of the
Augustinian community at St. Thomas Monastery, located at Villanova University.
