Father Pavone to Address Right to Life Convention
Father Frank A. Pavone, national director of Priests for Life, will be a
featured speaker at the 29th annual National Right to Life Convention in
Charlotte, N.C., Thursday through Saturday, June 28-30. The convention will
focus on efforts by the pro-life movement to restore legal protection to the
unborn.
Father Pavone, a priest of the archdiocese based on Staten Island, will speak
at the closing dinner and give workshops on increasing pro-life effectiveness
and "the Church, the media and the state." Other speakers include Jeanne Head, a
pro-life lobbyist at the United Nations; Richard M. Doerflinger, associate
director for policy development for the Pro-Life Secretariat of the National
Conference of Catholic Bishops; Joel Brind, a New York researcher who has
documented a link between abortion and breast cancer; television and radio talk
show host Sean Hannity; recording artist Pat Boone, and motivational youth
speaker Jeff Cavins.
The National Right to Life Youth Outreach program will hold a convention
simultaneously to educate teens and college students about pro-life issues.
