Pro-Life Mass, Prayers Set July 4 in Rockland
Bishop George E. Lynch of the Bronx, retired auxiliary of Raleigh, N.C., will
preside at a morning of pro-life prayers and celebrate noon Mass Tuesday, July
4, at the Marian Shrine in West Haverstraw. Father Frank A. Pavone, national
director of Priests for Life, will deliver the homily.
The annual pro-life event, held on the day celebrating the signing of the
Declaration of Independence, is titled "Spreading the Gospel of Life in
America."
Also concelebrating will be Msgr. Philip J. Reilly, executive director of
Helpers of God's Precious Infants, and Father Emilio Allue, S.D.B., shrine
coordinator.
Prayers will begin at 8:30 a.m. with exposition of the Blessed Sacrament.
Holy hours will be conducted at 9, 10 and 11 a.m., with Benediction immediately
preceding the Mass.
