TV series returns by popular demand
DALLAS. America's largest religious cable network, EWTN, announced that it will begin re-airing Father Frank A. Pavone's "Defending Life" beginning on May 4.
The 13-part series, which EWTN estimates will reach 80 million viewers nationwide, will be repeated four times each week and run through August of this year.
Since first airing in May 1995, the series has received high praise by pro-life people and other Catholic groups.
In the series, Father Pavone speaks about abortion procedure, laws on abortion, alternatives to abortion, healing and forgiveness after abortion. He also addresses "pro-choice" arguments and how to answer them, as well as scriptural teaching on abortion.
"This is simply the definitive pro-life program," said Anthony DeStefano, chief of staff at Priests for Life. "Not only is the return of the series a major media event, it is also a genuine case for celebration in the pro-life community."
