Newark Priest Joins Staff of Priests for Life Group
Father Peter West, parochial vicar at Sacred Heart parish in
Bloomfield, N.J., has been named to the staff of Priests for Life, a Staten
Island-based international organization of priests, deacons, religious and lay
persons.
Father Frank A. Pavone, a New York priest working in Rome for
the Pontifical Council for the Family, is international director of Priests for
Life, which promotes pro-life initiatives and educational programs within the
Church.
Father West, who will be based at the Staten Island
headquarters, was assigned to Priests for Life for three years by Archbishop
Theodore E. McCarrick of Newark. He will give talks to clergy groups around the
country and write pro-life pamphlets and other materials.
