Father Peter J. West, a member of Priests for Life, will be the keynote speaker at a workshop for pregnancy center directors, volunteers and respect life representatives from noon to 2 p.m. Oct. 16 at the Val Sheedy Center at Church of the Resurrection, 3720 Old Road 37 in Lakeland. He will speak on "Reaching the Heart of the Abortion-Minded Woman" and "Helping to Heal the Heart of the Abortion Minded Woman".

Father Peter West, of Priest for Life, will offer a presentation targeted to teens from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 17 in the Val J Sheedy Center at Church of the Resurrection in Lakeland. He will address the topic "Forgiving, Especially When it is Difficult: Why the Catholic Church is Against Capital Punishment."
