A 13-part television series on the
abortion industry and the pro-life fight against it has begun airing on the
Eternal Word Television Network.
The series called "Defending Life," features Father Frank A.
Pavone, a priest of the archdiocese and national director of Priests for Life.
It airs Mondays at 4:30 a.m. and is repeated Tuesdays at 4:30 p.m. and Saturdays
at 11 a.m.
Father Pavone looks at the scriptural, medical,
psychological, sociological and legal aspects of defending life. He has made
three earlier "Defending Life" series, also aired on EWTN.
Among those interviewed were former abortion industry worker
Lorraine LaNeve, who discusses the years of grief and mental anguish it caused
her, Deborah Cardamone, whose daughter died during, an abortion, and Kay Stile,
whose daughter ended up in a persistent vegetative state after an abortion.
Father Pavone also talked to Mark Crutcher founder and
president of Life Dynamics, about new tactics to shut down abortion clinics, and
Kathy McConn, founder of the Gabriel Project, about how parishes can respond to
the needs of pregnant women. - CNS
