Father Frank Pavone available for comment on Baby Alfie case

Priests for Life

April 25, 2018

Father Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, is in a unique position to comment on the unthinkably cruel situation taking place in Liverpool, England, where Baby Alfie Evans is being starved to death.

• Father Pavone was at the bedside of Terri Schiavo just hours before her court-ordered death by dehydration and starvation in 2005.
• Father Pavone was a key leader in the 2011 effort to rescue Baby Joseph Maraachli from a Canadian hospital that intended to let him die. He flew into London, Ontario, and then flew in an air ambulance with the baby and his father to a hospital in St. Louis willing to perform the simple medical procedure that allowed him to go home with his parents and enabled him to live another six months.
• The father of Baby Alfie reached out to Father Pavone for assistance. Among the ways he has been helping, he rallied more than 40,000 people on Facebook Live to surround Baby Alfie Evans with prayer last night.

“Sometimes we cannot stop death, but we can always stop the silence,” Father Pavone said. “We must not only pray, but speak out when injustice is done against any human life.”

To arrange an interview with Father Pavone, call Leslie Palma at 732-757-9087 or email her at media@priestsforlife.org
