Dear Friends:
I’ve written you this brief but urgent letter because your
religious freedom is in dire jeopardy.
June 5 is a key date that will go a long way in determining
whether or not you will maintain your right to practice your
religion freely and without government coercion. And not just you
but every other U.S. citizen as well.

Your dollars are necessary so that we can sustain our lawsuit
against HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius and her mandate that all
U.S. employers directly participate in the killing of innocent
children.
There’s no need to go into the details of the infamous HHS
mandate with you. You know all about it.
What I need you to focus on today is this date: Tuesday, June 5.
That’s the day the judge will decide whether or not to even hold
a hearing on the Obama administration’s motion to dismiss our
lawsuit, Priests for Life v Sebelius.
Using dollars that you helped provide, Priests for Life’s
attorneys filed an amended complaint which specifically negates the
government’s specious claim that Priests for Life has a
“grandfathered” policy. Without getting into too much detail, it’s
the government’s feeble attempt to say the HHS mandate doesn’t
impact Priests for Life.
Of course, they’re wrong. Worse, I suspect they know they’re
wrong and are simply using more and more delaying tactics in hopes
of bankrupting Priests for Life and forcing us to abandon our suit.
I say that because, according to our lead attorney, it’s likely
that the judge will schedule a hearing – perhaps not until the end
of July – and give the government the opportunity to formally argue
its motion to dismiss. We will oppose them, of course; and our
attorney is “fairly confident” we will prevail and our lawsuit will
move forward.
But as you can see, our lawsuit is moving through the legal
system at a snail’s pace … and eating up precious dollars along the
way.
Remember what I told you in my last letter: The Obama
administration is counting on you to grow weary of the fight and
give up. They know they cannot beat you legally. So they’re hoping
to outlast you financially.
That’s why it’s so important that you continue to do all you can
to help sustain our case and keep it moving forward.
We must not abandon religious liberty without an all-out fight.
If we lost this freedom now, we will
never get it back. Never!
