Dr. Denis Wilde left the brutal and icy weather of the Northeast to travel to welcoming and more temperate Salinas, CA, for a Pro-Life Parish Weekend at Madonna del Sasso Catholic Church. Speaking at every Mass over the three-day weekend, including a Spanish language Mass, Fr. Wilde also delivered the keynote address at the parish's Annual Respect Life Dinner. Many of the 200 at the event approached Fr. Wilde after his talk to express their joy and gratitude for his presentation on God's Law of Life.
On Saturday morning, Fr. Wilde joined 20 parents and children at the Choice Medical Group at Blanco Center in Salinas where they were guided by Msgr. Reilly's "Helpers of God's Precious Infants" prayer manual. On Monday, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Fr. Wilde reminded those at Mass of the point often made by Priests for Life Pastoral Associate Dr. Alveda King; that "the dream" of equality for all cannot survive if the children do not survive. He prayed that the "saving mantle of God's Law" would be observed across the land, "with liberty and justice, not just for some, but for all," including the unborn.
