Kevin and Theresa Burke Offer Seminar for the Archdiocese of Balimore - October 2009

Pastoral Associates Kevin and Theresa Burke offered day long seminar hosted by the Archdiocese of Baltimore to over 100 counselors, pastors, health care professionals and laity on post abortion trauma and the healing found in Rachel's Vineyard.   Bishop Denis J. Madden  opened the event by sharing with the participants his own experience as a Psychologist with those suffering after abortion.   Bishop Madden affirmed how important the training and education offered by the Burke's and the abortion healing found in Rachel's Vineyard are  to  the mission of the Church.  

One of the attendees was the Executive Director of the National Black Catholic Congress Valerie Washington.  Valerie shared with Theresa after the seminar how important our message of education and healing is for the African American community.  In addition, there was a number of pastors and leaders from local Black churches who shared a similar conviction that this ministry of healing was critical in minority communities where the abortion rate is so disproportionately high.
