Dear Friends of Life, Welcome to another edition of Frontlines!

Fr. Denis Wilde, OSA, Associate Director, brings the Gospel of Life to AZ - February 19-March 1

February 19 – March 1, 2010

Fr. Denis Wilde left snowy Philadelphia on February 19 for ten days of pro-life activity in the Valley of the Sun.  MEVs Kathy and Bob Gilbert met him at Phoenix’s Sky Harbor Airport and graciously hosted him throughout the stay, which included journeys to the northern and southern parts of the state.

Fr. Wilde preached, celebrated, or concelebrated at over a dozen Masses, three in Spanish, at three parishes during the trip.  He stood vigil at a Tempe Planned Parenthood clinic and visited the Hope Crisis Pregnancy Center in Flagstaff.  School presentations at St. Mary’s in Flagstaff and Seton Catholic Preparatory High School in Chandler were also part of Fr. Wilde’s itinerary.

A highlight of the trip was Fr. Wilde’s meeting with Bishop Thomas Olmsted at the Catholic Center in Phoenix, where the two discussed the need for Rachel’s Vineyard programs for the Spanish speaking population.
