Fr. Scott Daniels travelled to Charleston, South Carolina for a Pro-Life Parish Weekend at Our Lady of Good Counsel Roman Catholic Church. In what he described as a “whirlwind trip” that was “packed with blessings and graces from God,” Fr. Scott said some of the greatest blessings were meeting many pro-lifers who were “on fire for the faith and the pro-life message.”
On Palm Sunday morning, Fr. Scott preached on Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem, asking parishioners to remember that the very same people who cried, “Hosanna,” only days later cried, “Crucify Him!” He reminded people that in speaking up for the voiceless, pro-lifers will face persecution; that they should consider Jesus’ words, “The world will hate you, but remember, it first hated Me.”
That Sunday afternoon, Fr. Scott spoke at Charleston’s Brittlebank Park where the 40 Days for Life rally was marking the conclusion of yet another successful campaign. In his 20-minute talk, he urged the audience to cling to the truth and reject relativism.
