The last official weekend of the summer saw Fr. Denis Wilde travel to Severn, MD, for the 2nd Annual Mid-Atlantic 40 Days for Life Conference and Kickoff. Convening only days before the start of the seventh 40 Days campaign, the event saw about 130 Mid-Atlantic leaders, participants, and pro-lifers new to the 40 Days movement gather for inspiration, encouragement, and fellowship.
Fr. Denis spoke to the campaigners, exhorting the church to participate in this tremendous mission. He concluded with prayer and led the assembly in a rousing rendition of the Battle Hymn of the Republic. Also addressing the crowd were 40 Days for Life co-founder Shawn Carney and former Planned Parenthood clinic director and employee of the year Abby Johnson.
