FRONTLINESFr. Scott Daniels, O.P.May 20-24, 2011
Rev. Scott Daniels, O.P. spent an incredibly blessed and productive four days in Buffalo, New York for a Pro-Life Parish weekend May 20th to 24th.
The trip began by spending Friday afternoon with Steve Lawson, the Community Action Associate for The Stations of the Cross Catholic Radio, and his family inserting copies of “You Can Save Someone’s Life Today” into Church bulletins. Saturday morning, Steve took Fr. Scott to St. Rose of Lima Parish’s “A Morning for Life.” After Mass, attendees undertook a prayerful, 50-minute procession to a local abortion clinic where they prayed for an hour. Upon their return to St. Rose’s Parish, participants held a baby shower for a young lady who had chosen life for her child.
Over the course of the weekend Fr. Scott preached all five Masses at St. Amelia’s Parish in Tonawanda and on Monday met with Pro-Life Coordinators throughout the Diocese of Buffalo. Monday night he gave a talk, “The Human Person: Created in the Image and Likeness of God,” to about 100 members of the young adult group at Theology on Tap. From beginning to end, Fr. Scott called the trip “a complete joy.”
