Having mobilized Churches for voter registration over the past two years, having visited and preached in thousands of parishes on the voters' responsibility to elect pro-life candidates, having produced numerous TV and radio shows on the same theme, and having organized a massive get-out-the-vote campaign, Priests for Life welcomed the significant victory that this Election brought for the pro-life movement.

"I look forward to the advances that will be made in the next few years, to re-shape the Supreme Court and to pass more legislation to end the barbaric violence of the abortion procedure in America," said Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life.

"As President Bush has said, we must make room for the unborn child. All across America, I have met countless voters who elected him precisely for that reason. They understand that no society can be just, and no social program effective, if we cannot even protect our own children," Fr. Pavone said.
