NEW YORK – In these crucial last days leading up to Election Day on Nov. 8, EWTN has invited Priests for Life full-time Pastoral Associate Father Stephen Imbarrato to celebrate its televised morning Mass. The mass is broadcast worldwide on television, radio and internet (EWTN.com), in English and Spanish. In the United States alone, the television broadcast reaches some 95 million homes.
Father Imbarrato's full schedule for these Masses is as follows:
Monday, October 24, Tuesday, October 25, Wednesday, October 26; Thursday, October 27; Monday, October 31; Thursday, November 3; Friday, November 4; Sunday, November 6; Monday, November 7, and Election Day, Tuesday, November 8.
“This is a great opportunity for Priests for Life to get our message out about the moral imperative to vote, and to vote for life,” Father Imbarrato said. “I’m so thankful to Priests for Life for sending me to EWTN during these days.”
Each Mass is televised live at 8 a.m. ET, then rebroadcast three times throughout the day – noon, 7 p.m. and midnight, all Eastern Time.
Father Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, said he hopes these homilies will have three effects on viewers: first, that those who are still undecided on the election will firmly resolve to get to the polls; second, that all voters will make the abortion issue their top priority, and third, that voters will not only cast their own vote but learn how to mobilize as many other voters as possible.
“There are many important issues. Any issue impacting human life is important,” Father Pavone said. “But no other issue has the same gravity, the same pull on our conscience, as the legal killing of children by abortion. We cannot vote in a way that allows this practice to continue.”
