NEW YORK – Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, today issued the following statement after President Donald J. Trump’s Inaugural Address.

“It was truly heartening to hear President Trump proclaim that those who have been forgotten will be forgotten no more.  There is no person more forgotten, more ignored, or more abandoned by the last administration than the child in the womb.  That child’s day is finally here.

“President Trump declared that ‘the hour of action’ is now.  We look forward to working with him and Congress to implement his call in relation to the unborn.  It’s time to pass the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, stop forcing taxpayers to subsidize the nation’s largest child killing business, Planned Parenthood, and recognize the humanity and dignity inherent in every unborn child.”

Janet Morana, Executive Director of Priests for Life and co-founder of the Silent No More Awareness Campaign, said, “I was so honored to be at the inauguration today and to hear President Trump say he will put America first in all things. It’s my hope that America will become a nation that protects all of its citizens, including the unborn, and that we will lead the world in this effort.”
