SAN FRANCISCO -- Priests for Life Medical Advisor Dr. George Delgado was the recipient of the St. Gianna Molla Award at the Walk for Life West Coast in San Francisco this weekend.
Dr. Delgado is the medical director of Abortion Pill Reversal (APR) and Culture of Life Services (COLFS) in San Diego County. Following the first-known abortion reversal in 2007, performed by Priests for Life medical advisor Dr. Matt Harrison, Dr. Delgado and Dr. Mary Davenport, his colleague in the American Association of Pro-life Obstetricians and Gynecologists, developed a protocol for the use of progesterone to save babies whose mothers had taken mifepristone.

Dr. Delgado set up and established a 24-hour hotline to connect women who changed their minds about abortion after taking mifepristone to doctors all over the country willing to help. Hundreds of healthy babies have been born since the hotline was established.

Priests for Life National Director Father Frank Pavone, who attended the Walk for Life, said, "Priests for Life as an organization is honored by this award and by the life-saving work of Dr. Delgado, Dr. Harrison, and hundreds of other physicians who are saving babies even after their mothers tried to have them chemically aborted. Priests for Life and our team will continue to lead the way on this and other life-saving measures!"
