The seventh season of The Catholic View for Women will premiere Wednesday, March 15, on EWTN.
Co-hosts Astrid Bennett Gutierrez, Teresa Tomeo and Janet Morana will return with 13 episodes that take a deep dive into the hot-button issues of the day, including how the women’s movement has been hijacked by radical pro-abortion feminists; chastity in the Latina community; pornography on the newsstand and the shocking rates of abortion of babies with Down syndrome.
“We feel very blessed, and very grateful to EWTN, to be able to continue to offer women an alternative to the junk they’ll find when channel surfing,” said Mrs. Morana, executive director of Priests for Life and co-founder of the Silent No More Awareness Campaign. “We can guarantee that those who tune in will find something of value in every episode.”
High-profile guests like Victoria Hearst, the granddaughter of newspaper magnate William Randolph Hearst; Timmerie Millington and Sue Ellen Browder will talk about the issues important to Catholic women today.
"Despite the many challenges we face, it's never been a better time to be a woman, and more specifically a woman in the Catholic Church,” said Catholic author and radio host Ms. Tomeo.
“People are hungry for God and are searching like never before. Our program allows us to reach women right we're they’re at, but to move them into a closer and stronger relationship with God. I'm looking forward to another season of addressing real issues that impact the real, everyday lives of our sisters in Christ."
Ms. Bennett Gutierrez, executive director of The Vida Initiative will say farewell to the Catholic View after this seventh season. Next year she will co-host a new show for women on EWTN Spanish.
“I am excited for you to tune in to the latest season of The Catholic View for Women to hear the amazing testimonies of women who have overcome incredible trials because of their strong faith,” she said. “These are the women who should serve as role models in society. And they are truly happy! And I've been happy spending these six awesome years next to my two beautiful co-hosts, Janet Morana and Teresa Tomeo, but I am sad to share that I will be moving on from the show to my new role as co-host of new series for women for EWTN Spanish "Ellas lo dicen" (According to Her) where Eliana Perez and Neydy Casillas and I will be sharing some of the same beautiful and urgent topics we have brought to you. Thank you for your prayers and viewership!
The Catholic View for Women airs at 11 p.m. ET on Wednesdays and is rebroadcast at 10:30 a.m. Fridays.
