Fr. Frank Pavone's Vocation Story

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

In a few weeks, I will begin my 30th year of priesthood, and a few weeks ago, I began my 25th year of leading Priests for Life and of working fulltime to defend the children in the womb. These two key aspects of my vocation are a blessing beyond words for me, and a blessing I strive to give to the Church and the world.

I am grateful to the Board of Directors of Priests for Life for their Resolution by which they recently drew attention to these milestones in my life and ministry, and unanimously re-appointed me to serve as National Director of Priests for Life.

I thought it would be appropriate, therefore, to bring to your attention some articles I have written over the years about my priestly vocation, and about my vocation as a fulltime pro-life leader. You can read them at the links below.

The priesthood is a gift that in a particular way demonstrates the fidelity of God. Even when his instruments are weak and sinful, God gives his guarantee that he will show up -- in the preaching of the Word, in the forgiveness of sins, in the miracle of the Eucharist. Christ is the faithful spouse of his Church, and the priest is the sign of that fact.

Let's pray for vocations -- and by that I mean not only that God will send us more priests, but that he will protect and strengthen those who are already priests. As I've often said, the Church will attract more young men to become priests only if we treat well the priests we already have. And that is a task that belongs to us all.

Thank you for all your constant prayers and support for me!
