The wisdom of Archbishop Fulton Sheen, tips on how not to be afraid in confession and an in-depth look at the origins of Divine Mercy are just some of the topics the hosts and guests of The Catholic View for Women will tackle as a new season kicks off on EWTN on Sunday, March 4.
Catholic View has a different schedule for its new season. New shows will premiere at 11:30 p.m. ET on Sundays and rebroadcast at 11 a.m. ET on Sundays, and 3:30 a.m. ET on Saturdays.
Returning this season as co-hosts are Janet Morana, executive director of Priests for Life and co-founder of the Silent No More Awareness Campaign; Elena Rodriguez, EWTN radio and TV host, and Teresa Tomeo, a Catholic author and host of the “Catholic Connection” radio program.
“We are so happy to be back with another season of The Catholic View, with 13 more episodes that give us a chance to do what shows like ABC’s “The View” don’t do – reach women with content that really matters to them,” Mrs. Morana said. “There’s no gossip, no fawning over celebrities, no anti-American diatribes. We work hard to present topics that will help viewers deepen their prayer lives, enrich their spiritual journey and make sense of the crazy culture we live in.”
Other topics to be tackled in the new season include contraception, living a virtuous life and a “Tale of Two Marches” – the March for Life and the Women’s March. As usual, the co-hosts don’t shy away from taking on tough topics, including the transgender revolution and how we got to where we are today.
"I'm especially looking forward to our new season of The Catholic View,” Ms. Tomeo said. “The more we look out on the many problems in society such as the epidemic of sexual harassment, the more we can connect the dots to the importance of timeless Church teaching on the dignity of the human person. And that's what we do on The Catholic View; a program especially important given the fallout we see from a world that's turned its back on God. We offer hope, help, and healing in a world that's hurting and confused."
Ms. Rodriguez, the newest member of The Catholic View panel, invited viewers to be part of the conversation.
“God’s Mercy is just one of the many topics we share this season,” she said. “Share the passion for your faith. Share God’s mercy. Sit down with us on The Catholic View for Women and be part of our conversation this new season. An instant friendship will arise and we will encourage one another.”
